The 2012 documentary “We Always Lie to Strangers” is now easily available on Netflix. The film follows several famous Branson families, including the Presley’s and their legacy of opening the first Branson theatre on the strip, the Lennon family, and the Tinocos. The focus of the documentary isn’t necessarily the stories of Branson itself, but rather general human themes such as poverty, family values, and working-class issues.
Until now the film has been difficult to track down and view, having been kept exclusive to various film festival screenings. I have yet to see it myself, but it sounds like an interesting look behind the curtains of Branson. Let us know what you think about it if you get a chance to see it here on our forums.
