Title: Discounts for Silver Dollar City
Post by: marolinesdad on March 06, 2011, 09:32:20 AM
Here is a place that if you know about any promos going on you can post here.   I Personally have a season pass and think that is the way to go but I do know that some of you still only buy 1 day tickets.   Also I let 6 BAF go by the way side last year.   I think instead of letting them go to waste we should offer them up to our friends on here...

Been in Branson all weekend and found out that the Wilderness Camp Ground is still offering 2 day tickets for the 1 day price.

Also the Eagles Lodge has the same offer all year long.

Okla. great idea!  I actually let somebody use some of my BAF's last fall.  somebody here on the site, Dont remember who..

I need my BAFS that are now through 6-3....  Will post if my june/july ones become available,,,

I would think that if you "need" A BAF , you could post here also as long as it was a random need. And not abusive as in every month or weekend... We are all here to help.

on the BAF tickets - does the season pass holder have to be with the people that ya give the BAF tickets to? we will not go against the rules, just making sure. we have plans for some of our BAF tickets, but i know someone who really wants to go....

The ticket says they do, but I have talked to my cousin that works on park and she said that if they are given away to friends that is fine.   I gave some of my friends some last year and they used them with no problem.

I am glad we can share out BAF's with anybody and they can get in.....

HOWEVER i wish there was a way to control the selling of BAF's! That is just WRONG!!  and it really irritates me ( actually  i have another word!)..

SORRY!!  Just makes me mad!!

climbing off the soapbox now.,...
deep breaths....
ok.
I am fine now.,   LOL!

Same Here. Actually I can offer multiple BAF for the Midnight Madness slots, cause I know we won't be going. But I could use an extra for the Spring period.

What is a BAF.  We go Branson every 2 years for family reunion for the last 3 reunions.  We are thinging about a season pass vs daily ticket so we would have to worry about schedules.  Wish they were trasferable to my uncle when we leave.  I am trying to squeeze as much value as possible out our vacation.

A BAF is a bring a friend ticket.  Season passholders who purchase passes before the season begins receive bring a friend tickets.  Some BAFs allow free admission.  Some BAFs are for $10 admission.  The BAFs a season passholder receives is based on how early the passes are bought.  Generally the free BAFs are given when people buy season passes by December 31.  For example, the people who bought 2011 season passes purchased the passes by 12/31/10 in order to get the BAF free admissions.  If they bought season passes in January - March, they received the $10 BAFs.

You can still buy season passes now but you will not get BAFs with the pass.  Season passes are not transferrable.

I really like the idea of the BAF "swap meet". Would anyone find it inappropriate to start a dedicated thread just for this? No buying or selling, only trading or giving. I see BAF's traded all the time on the 1Branson forum, seems like this site would be a good place for that too.
Title: Re: Discounts for Silver Dollar City
Post by: sanddunerider on April 12, 2011, 07:31:40 PM
we have talked about that before.

I thought we had actually started a thread about doing the trade thing, or if we had used ones that somebody could use..

Anyway i could not find it. ???  anybody else?

We have talked about it before.  At length.

I'll let our host, Shavethewhales, respond with his thoughts.  I would rather no one begin such activity until you get word from him.

I did not realize it had been discussed before. I found a post or two discussing the morality of selling BAF's but I did not find any threads regarding just a place to exchange them. I do not intend to do anything further with the idea, was just throwing it out there. My apologies.

no apology needed.  IF it has not been started yet, I think we should do so,,,

It's natural to have those ideas, Larsons.  I just wanted to refer the question to Shavethewhales and let him decide whether it is appropriate for the fan forum.  No apologies necessary.

Here at Eagle's Lodge we also sell the 2 days for the price of 1 (some of the hotels here and All Access Branson do to). Just use the 2nd day within the 3rd day of your 1st visit to SDC. You can always upgrade these tickets to a season pass for the difference between the 1 day admission to season pass price. I have been informed the Splash & Play tickets should be advertised in May for the 3 day pass to use between White Water and SDC.  ;)

On the BAF issue, I'm not entirely sure what SDC's stance is on trading. I know they've definitely allowed it to go on for a number of years now and will let you enter the park with BAF's that come from other people, but I'm not sure it would look good for us to promote that practice in general. I'll have to look into.

As for discounts in general, the eagle's lodge deal pared with the 2 days for the price of 1 ticket is the best way to go, IMO. Also remember that SDC allows you to bring in your own food and drinks into the park, so you could bring a small cooler and take advantage of that.

All Access Branson is a local company in Branson and they always have the 2 day tickets for SDC as well as great discounts on other shows and attractions in Branson, and they do free delivery to your hotel if you're staying in Branson, we've been using their service for several years and you can't beat their prices anywhere and you don't have to do a crazy timeshare tour either.   their website is www.allaccessbranson.com

Christymlee---If you are planning on going to SDC more than one day....most hotels sell 2 day tickets for the price of one.  AAA and some banks also sell discounted tickets.  Right now the cheapest place to stay in Branson is Eagles Lodge...they have a great discount for SDCFANS--participants.  Also, keep in mind SDC allows you to bring your own food into the park (no glass containers), that can save you a ton of money as well.  Hope this helps.

The Table Rock State Park campground is amazing. Been there a few times, and have loved it every time.

The SDC Wilderness is okay; not the best for tent camping, but in a pop-up it would be alright.

We also have 6 people and a pop up. When we go we usually stay at Compton Ridge (http://comptonridge.com/). Plenty of amenities, very kid friendly and very close to SDC. Another option if you're looking for something a little less expensive is Indian Point (http://www.reserveamerica.com/campgroundDetails.do?subTabIndex=0&&contractCode=nrso&parkCode=indp). It's and COE park, so no pool, game room, etc, but there is a swim beach, big water/electric sites, very pretty and very close to SDC. Just about a mile or so on the same road. We have stayed at The Wilderness (http://www.thewildernesslogcabins.com/) which is owned by SDC and has a very nice shuttle to and from the park that runs about every hour or so. We have also stayed at Table Rock State Park (http://mostateparks.com/park/table-rock-state-park) which is very nice, but a bit too far away for us, as well as no designated swim area. Both Compton Ridge and The Wilderness give discounts for SDC season pass holders as well as Good Sam. Both also sell tickets. Compton Ridge has a free shuttle to the park also, but doesn't run quite as often as the one across the road at The Wilderness. Hope this helps.

Not trying to jump topics from Mickey D's but it's time to talk about the Christmas ornament. My family and I will be taking a trip to sdc during Moonlight madness. To get ur season pass holder ornament you have to go to five festivals. Does moonlight madness count as two festivals since it's inside the timeframe of kids fest. Just wondering. :)

cocodane3, I am almost 100% sure you have to go to the five festivals.  I don't think Moonlight Madness counts as a festival. It's more of a special event type thing  :).

actually moonlight madness...... AND  kidfest are 2 different festivals..::

2011 Collector's Ornament

Requirements: Visit 5 different Special Events in 2011 and qualify. (Choose from Family Spring Break Days, Young Christians Weekend, World-Fest, Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, National KidsFest, Moonlight Madness, Southern Gospel Picnic, National Harvest Festival and An Old Time Christmas.) Must pick up ornament during your visit to Silver Dollar City's An Old Time Christmas festival.

I would guess you have to go in after 3 or maybe 6 to count for MM, and before on a different day for Kidfest>>???

I know of some people that have bought tickets off ebay and have made arrangements to meet them at SDC or a neutral site.  This might save you some time, you would just have to ask the person selling the tickets.

Speaking of discounts for SDC, as some of you know, I get complimentary passes to hand out to whomever I want...the ultimate discount. These usually go to relatives or friends that need them in a pinch, and generally, I enjoy handing them out.

The other day, I gave two to the daughter of my sister-in-law's husband and her friend. No problem. But I was talking to them as they were about to head out, around 10AM, suggesting various things and shows to see while they were there, when she mentioned that they would only be there until a little after noon. I thought "Really?...by the time you get parked and through the gates you'll only be on park a little over an hour...and I'm giving you free passes to be wasted on that?" Had I known their plans beforehand, I would have told them I only had one pass to give and let them split the cost for the second ticket...still a pretty nice discount. Or better yet, I could have said "Go play miniature golf or go window shopping, you'll have more fun for an hour doing that."

Sure, the passes don't cost me anything, but they still have value...there is a demand for them. It burns me up that some people don't appreciate that fact. I think I'm going to have to start inquiring about their plans for spending the day at SDC before I hand out freebies. Does less than 4 hours=1/2 ticket per person sound fair?

I hate to have to be that way, but I'd rather save the tickets for people who will really appreciate them. Is that being mean-spirited?

Title: Re: Discounts for Silver Dollar City
Post by: okiebluegrass on July 26, 2011, 11:49:59 AM
No. You are not being mean spirited. An hour in the park is fine for those of us with season passes, but otherwise it's a complete waste of > $50
Title: Re: Discounts for Silver Dollar City
Post by: sanddunerider on July 26, 2011, 01:35:54 PM
zephon, no your thinking correctly.. if you have an item like that, people you give it to should use it all day and get their "money's" worth,,

1 or 2 hours on a free pass?  thats just wrong!  Just tells me they do not appreciate the park..  LOL of course if they did, they would have season passes... right?
Title: Re: Discounts for Silver Dollar City
Post by: pintrader on July 26, 2011, 02:07:47 PM
It does seem like a big waste when there are families that are having a hard time making ends meet and would love to go to SDC.  Then someone is nice enough to give you complimentary passes for the day and you stay 1 hour.  Oh well, it takes all kinds I guess  ???.

Re Zephon and the free passes issue, when I was 15 or 16, I had gotten several free passes while working at SDC, and a group of family members came through town. This would be about 1978 or 1979. They came by to visit our family home that first evening, mentioning they would spend the next day at SDC. I, of course, offered free tickets for everyone...about 4 or 5. They accepted. Next day, they spent the whole day. That evening, they came back to the family home in Branson, mentioned that they didn't have any trouble at the park when they approached the ticket booth, demanding REFUND on their "arrive after three, next day free tickets" they purchased on that first day they were in town. They told the ticket booth folks they misplaced the free tickets they were given, so they purchased tickets to get in. Later, when they "found" their free tickets, they wanted their money back on the ones they purchased. The ticket booth folk, being good citizens, believed their stories and refunded their money, and let them use the free passes I gave them. As a young teen, I'd never gotten so angry in my life! I BADLY wanted to tell these relatives how I felt about the issue, and approached my parents privately. They told me that yes, my aunt and uncle were WRONG for doing this, but to let it pass. I fumed for days about this, but I did as my parents told me. We never offered this branch of the family free tickets to ANYTHING after that. Even if I had a good stockpile built up of those free tickets, I would never have given a single one to them after that. I was the kid, and I looked up to my aunt and uncle to lead the way in doing the right thing. They did let me down that time. It was a hard lesson learned as a young feller. It has stuck with me to this day, and I have vowed never to do something like that. So far, so good!

That's pretty bad, Junior.  That's like stealing from the company.  But yeah, I'm gonna have to be a bit more discriminating with who I give passes to. I've been known to give them to complete strangers before, but I also knew they were going to spend the day there...and really appreciate them.

It's bad to say Junior, but with kinfolk like that you probably should take inventory after a visit from them  ;).

The aunt and uncle are in their graves, now. But from time to time I wonder did the elevator button that got pushed go up...or down?  ;) Anyway, that was over 30 years ago.

I couldn't agree more JUNIOR.  As someone who grew up going to SDC as a kid, I can see the frustration of you and the others that gave away the tickets.  We would drive 6 hours from Texas every year to go to SDC a few days during our week vacation in Branson.  It was a treat for us to go.  My mom and dad saved all year for us to go.  We would buy single tickets, and usually do that two or three times during that vacation week.  For someone to have given us a free pass would have been like giving us a piece of pure gold.  We loved SDC so much and still do.  I would have never done that to my family or friends who gave me a free ticket.  We would have stayed all day and even saw the show at closing.  Now, my wife and I buy our season passes, but my children this year, have approached the age to where they have to have tickets too.  We will have to buy them tickets on our second Branson vacation this year. I now see the  struggles my parents took to make sure we could have a nice time at SDC. If you can't appreciate family and the memories that SDC will produce, you shouldn't even bother stepping in the park(whether free ticket or not) at all. Sorry, but I had to add my opinion in on this.

Last Christmas, I was at Silver Dollar City with a friend and even though I know a few folks there, I hate imposing on their good graces.   Therefore, we were fully prepared to pay our full price to come in (no season pass being from Florida, etc...)

Lo and behold, a kind lady pulled my friend out of the line for no apparent reason at all and said "We have this extra ticket and aren't going to use it, do you need one?"    We were so ecstatic!  Two for the price of one entry to SDC and all because of the kindness of a stranger.   Nowhere except SDC.

Growing up we always had season passes/ with the bff passes and would try to take some of my cousins and aunts and uncles when they could go, and if they couldn't come we would do the grab people out of the ticket line trick. You should have seen the faces of those parents, and they always tried to pay my mom and dad for the free tickets, dad never let that happen and I will always look up to my parents for doing that. I believe that that started somewhat of a tradition in our family, as my wife and I now do the same thing when we can.

if i have not used my BAF's, i take them with me and try to give them to either somebody at the motel, or at the city for sure..

i prefer the motel, because i like to think that will help paige too.  because you know if you got free ticket your going to tell you friends where at!!  LOL..

important thing is they dont go to waste.

We are hoping to plan a trip this weekend and take my mother-in-law.  My husband and I are season pass holders, but there aren't any Bring a Friends until December.  Does anyone know of any coupons?  Earlier this year we got a newsletter in the mail and it had coupons in it to get in for around $20.  I was hoping to get one for this fall, but we haven't.  Does anyone know of any major discounts?  We are on somewhat of a budget and can't really afford full priced admission.  Any advice would be greatly apprecaited!!

There's a coupon in the summer edition of the times for $20 tickets for up to 2 people. Good thru oct 29th. We just used it yesterday for one of my daughters friends.

Do you still have the last SDC Times you got? It might still have a current coupon, the last one I got was early/mid summer and it had the coupon good through 10/29. There usually are some other discounts out there, but nothing near a $20 ticket. You get $5 off another ticket for being a pass holder. Are you planning an overnight stay? If so, Paige (http://sdcfans.com/forums/index.php?topic=1421.0) could probably save you enough money on the hotel bill to make up for the ticket purchase. I think she can get tickets also, not sure what her rate is. You might also try this (http://www.1branson.com/forum/f10.html) site.

BTW, you wouldn't happen to be from Tuscumbia would you?

i am new to the board so i hope i am in the correct area. I see on the sdc website that you can now purchase tickets and use the flex pay...i have two questions.
.. are the season passholders getting free guest passes even if we wait till after the 31st to purchase?or is this an addition to free guest passes to season pass holders?
.. and if i use the flex pay would i still get the free guess passes.

we have not bought season passes in a few years and i know they have changed up the rules some so im just checking..

thanks for anyone who can maybe explain it better..

Season passes are not transferrable.

so am in understanding this that sdc does not give you guest passes with season passholders any more ONLY when and if you buy before certain date?

That you share EVERYTHING else with them that sharing the park is unbearable. But then summer comes around and your glad that they have passes so you can share the park with them and have a great time despite the poo pooing you made early on???

I am glad we can share out BAF's with anybody and they can get in.....

HOWEVER i wish there was a way to control the selling of BAF's! That is just WRONG!!  and it really irritates me ( actually  i have another word!)..

SORRY!!  Just makes me mad!!

climbing off the soapbox now.,...
deep breaths....
ok.
I am fine now.,   LOL!

I too get very angry when I see the BAF passes for sale on Craig's List or in the local papers. If for some odd reason we do not use them we make sure to bring them to the park and get others in. Most folks, if they believe you're willing to do that for a stranger, are grateful.

I would like to join you on that soapbox if that's ok with you! lol

[quoteI too get very angry when I see the BAF passes for sale on Craig's List or in the local papers.][/quote]
That should not be an issue any longer.
I ask friends  at work that have kids especially single parents if they could use them.  My offer is for them to meet me at the gate on a certain day and time and I will get them in.  I am not the tour guide just the person that walks them through the gate.   $50 a kid is steep any way you slice it in today's economy, especially for a single parent.  If I get no takers I sit outside the water wheel on the rocks and pick someone that looks like they could use the break.  Its a little profiling but I like helping someone who is on a  tight budget enjoy there day.  Possibly by freeing up some admittance cash for snacks and fun.
Do you guys give yours away? Whats your preferred method?

Had I known ahead of time that we could give away our BAFs I would have already purchased Season passes, but did not and didn't want to waste them because we have moved to MS and don't get to go that often.

Thanks again and May God Bless!!!

MH, about the showboat,

the evening show is the same as last year, Which for what it is worth, i thought it sucked!! :o :o the "showmen" cant carry a tune, and their dance routine was very poor and out of sync. the violinist and her "acrobatics" left a lot to be desired,  while she was able to climb the rope, she only played the violin about 30 seconds during that part..  She plays a great violin,  I just wasnt impressed :(

The lunch show, which is also all day on sunday was a very entertaining show.. Now they have completely changed it! Have not had a chance to see the new show yet.. But am very anxious to it.. It will be hard to top last years show, but hopefully will be just as entertaining. ;D

This is a topic that we touch on all the time...

the best discount price is 2 days for the price of 1 day.... you buy a ticket and you can visit 2 days out of 3.... Has to be within the 3 days of each other..

You can purchase these all over Branson,,,,  You can also purchase them at the local motel that we have discounted rates with,,,

We stay Homestay In for only 40.00 per nite AND they have the discounted tickets..417-336-2666

homestay is also only about a 10 minute drive from silver dollar city..

hope this helps.

I just found this site and was amazed to see all the support of the exorbitant admission.  When I first visited SDC, the admission was $8 and it was VERY reasonable compared to other parks.  I agree that SDC offers a completely different experience from most other parks and one that I personally find infinitely more appealing.  I have absolutely no interest in Six Flags or Disney (although I live less than an hour from Orlando).  But what SDC fails to take into account is its appeal to older visitors.  My husband and I are retired.  We have no desire whatsoever to ride any of the rides and neither of us is physically able to do the cavern tour (although I did it many years ago).  How about a discount for those of us who would gladly waive (in writing if necessary) access to those pieces and let us enjoy the rest at a price we can afford?

I have once pondered this thought myself, but with everything that the company has to pay for I see why the ticket prices are the way they are. Also considering the free BAFs they provided to season pass holders costs them as well. And ticket prices are expensive but to me I gladly fork over the 231.00 it costs for my family. It is a spectacular deal. But I live close enough to go more than once. I believe that close to end of december they have really cheap tickets. Find friends on here that have BAFs or coupons. I have one if you are going first Saturday of December you can have.

Yes, tickets are a little pricier each year, but they are still comparable to any other theme park.  A senior discount would be nice.

Oops!  Your right, Sand!  I was looking at a one day ticket - $54 vs $56.  $6 for a senior season pass is still not a great discount.  I'll need to take out a loan for that funnel cake and apple dumpling!!

I don't think they lose much on the BAF. What they get in return is bodies that will spend on all the other stuff.
Most folks that use ours wouldn't go without them but they spend a good bit of money when there.

I wonder what the season pass numbers are compared to Dollywood. I believe they had a promotion where you got in free for their Christmas season with the purchase of 2013 passes.

I see Silver Dollar City as having a great asset that is NWA. It's still growing and will only continue to do so. So... this park has a growing permanent population base that will help support it. I don't think Miss Mary and crew knew that the NWA MSA would do this:

The Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area (often referred to as Northwest Arkansas) as defined by the United States Census Bureau is a four-county area including three Arkansas counties and one Missouri county. The MSA is anchored by the Arkansas cities of Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville — the state's third, fourth, eighth, and 11th largest cities, respectively. The total MSA population in 2000 was 347,045 people. The US Census estimated the population of the MSA to be 464,623 in 2009. From 1990-2000 the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers MSA was the sixth fastest growing area in the nation.

Still growing

Chittlins: Didn't realize the population in NW Arkansas was at the level mentioned above. How many folks reside in the central Arkansas/Little Rock area? Has NW Arkansas overtaken Little Rock with population yet? Gee, if the "white flight" from Little Rock continues, there won't be anyone left there but the gang bangers.
Title: Re: Discounts for Silver Dollar City
Post by: DollarCityBoy on November 20, 2012, 10:32:48 AM
West Little Rock is the area in Central AR that is growing. Area's such as the very successful Chenal Valley is where people are moving. Home prices in Chenal start around $300,000 and work there way up into the millions.
Conway, is also one of Central AR's fastest growing community. Conway is growing quickly.

I would hardly say that LR will be nothing but gang-bangers anytime soon.

Post by: chittlins on November 21, 2012, 08:20:49 PM
I don't think NWA is taking away from Little Rock, It's taking away from other states. I'm shocked no one has opened up a water park along the 540 corridor yet. Some of the major needs for the region is more family oriented options.  The demographics support things like this, Cabela's doesn't just build a huge store like that without doing that homework.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has any BAF tickets for Dec. 20, or 21st?  My family has four, however, we are taking a family with six of the nicest kids you will ever meet.

Anyone got any to spare that would be there that day.  Even one would help.

Thanks!

Thanks Sandunerider.  We looked into that.

Just wanted to pull my request for BAF coupons.  They settled on Friday, but then they have all came down with the stomach flu.  Oh well maybe we can take them next year.  Since they aren't going we won't be going either, which brings me to my next thought.

I hope that SDC keeps offering the BAF coupons with their passes.  It is a nice to be able to get the extra value out of our season passes. It also is a boon for SDC in my opinion.  Everyone we have taken in the past has always bought food, drinks, and sometimes from the gift shop on their way out.  When you take a family of eight including adults along with your family of six it makes for a lot of eat'uns during the day.  14 meals plus cotton candy etc. I'm sure helps the bottom line at SDC.  Not to mention we have purchased passes for years.

In a couple of years my smallest two will need passes and it would be nice to get six BAFs in the future.

The BAF's are a very nice bonus, and with the new "system" ( which i do like), I am sure you will contibue seeing BAF's  for a long time..

the PTB track the BAf's and know that every one that comes in generates additional revenue..

AAA has discounted tickets if you're a member.  Some financial institutions sell them as well.  Most hotels in Branson (including Homestay Inn which is an awesome place to stay!) sell tickets that are two days for the price of one.  Other than that...sanddune is right, the season pass is probably your best bet if you're going more than 2 days.

Hello. I am planning a vist in may for my daughters 21st bd. believe it or not she wanted to go to SDC.  We don't need season passes since this is a one trip thing.  Can you tell me of a place to get two day tickets at a better price?  I need five tickets. sbarkertwofiveeight at g mail. comquote author=oklaSDCfan link=topic=1460.msg26147#msg26147 date=1299425540]

Price Cutter $30 Thursdays! Save on admission to Silver Dollar City & White Water when you purchase your tickets at Price Cutter or a Price Cutter affiliate. Now through October.

These tickets are valid to upgrade to a SDC Season Pass or a SDC & White Water Season Pass.  You do have to purchase these tickets through a Price Cutter store i.e. Country Mart is one of these stores and there is some in Branson and Branson West.

Just an extra way to stretch your $$$$ if you wish...

Greetings, SDC Fans, I'm a first-time poster from Minnesota on this forum, so please forgive me if I'm
not up to date on the most current policies regarding admission to SDC. Due to some fortunate turns of
events and a generous offer from my wife's coworker, we find ourselves with the opportunity to spend the
better part of a week in Branson for next to nothing during June 17th-21st.

Now our family wouldn't even consider this trip if it were not for the low-cost lodging (the cost in gas
alone will challenge our budget), but we couldn't pass up this chance to go on an ACTUAL trip. Over four
years of financial difficulties have prevented me, my wife and two daughters (8 and 4) from going on any
sort of significant vacation. Things have started to improve for us recently, but we still need to live
pretty conservatively. My girls are so excited about this trip they can hardly contain themselves and my
wife and I are looking forward to some time off from our jobs and to see Branson for the first time. My
own parents have been there and loved it! They say I will love it too.

I would love to be able to take the girls to SDC for at least one day while we're there but the cost is a
factor for me, of course. I have searched for every possible discount online to try to figure out how to
swing this. I came across this forum and thought I would try my luck.
Is there anyone out there with unused BAF tickets available for my family to use any day in between
Sunday, June 16th through Thursday, June 20th? Two adult and two kids tickets would be ideal, but I would
consider any quantity to save a few $. We plan on spending the entire day there if we go, and I'm sure
it will be a life-changing experience for my girls!

I don't know if the BAF ticket policy now requires the Season Pass Holder to be at the gate with the
guests or not, either way, I could meet my potential benefactor for tickets at any public place of their
choosing.

I guarantee your generosity will be eternally appreciated and your gift will not be wasted.
God bless and thank you for taking the time to read this post.

I don't think there are any valid BAF for this time period. Our most current BAF passes are only good through June 8 and the next set doesn't kick in until mid-late July. BAF passes are only given to season pass holders when attendance is expected to be low, and mid-June and July are typicall not low attendance months. I'd suggest checking with your hotel/lodging to see if they have the 2 days for the price of 1 special. That would probably be the best discount you can find in June.

Lonewolf, congrats on your upcoming trip and welcome to the forum.

Misskim is correct about the BAF's.. non valid during that time period..

If you decide to do the 2days for 1, Please call 417-336-2666 in branson, it is a motel that supports our group and they sell the tickets. Located on the west side of town, the motel is easy acces to find..  Talk to Paige if you can, but anyone that answers the phone should be able to take care of your needs..

Also IF you are thinking about seeing any shows while in town, call Paige, she has a direct line to discount tickets.. NO hassles..

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

Hello SDC fans, Thanks for your replies about BAF tickets. It saved me the extra time of trying to gain access to them during this time.  One other question, I see there is a $15 children's ticket coupon available at PFI Western Store. I looked at all the fine print regarding this but I'm wondering: Is this promotion still going on and is there any purchase required at the store to get this coupon? This looks like the best discount ticket opportunity at SDC at the current time, unless there is that $30 Thursdays special still available? If anyone knows any new or updated info please let me know, thanks again!   :)

I was wondering if it is possible to split a two day pass with another family.  For example, we are two adults and three children.  If we were to purchase a two day pass (for the price of a 1 day pass) but only plan on going 1 day - could we find another family with two adults and three children that want to go only one day and we split the cost of the tickets with them?  Is that allowed?

Hey I'm new here and was trying to get some info.  I recently moved (well, moved back) to the area and was planning on getting a season pass.  A couple of my coworkers have them and mentioned the guest passes that you get with them, but they didnt have much info on them so I've been trying to find out info on them.  Are they the same thing as the BAF's that everyone refers to on here?  I have a friend from high school visiting next weekend and was thinking I could get a Season pass and bring him along rather than buying two tickets.  I've got another friend visiting on the 3rd-8th of July and she's coming back again on the 26th so I wanted to be able to uses pass as well.

The SDC website mentions nothing about blackout dates for the guest passes.  In fact it sounds like they're good pretty much any day:
Quote
Silver Dollar City®, Branson, MO - Unlimited visits to Silver Dollar City. $5 off full-price, one-day regular (ages 12-61) or child (ages 4-11) admission for up to 6 guests visiting with you (all operating days, except April 6). Save 10% on meals over $4 for you and up to 6 guests visiting with you (not valid on concessions). Save 20% on breakfast at Molly's Mill 8:30am - 11am through October 26 for you and up to 6 guests visiting with you. Only one discount or offer applies to food purchases. Valid 2013 operating season only.
Is that right?  Do I just buy the season pass and show up at the ticket office for their passes, or am I misreading this and the BAF/guest pass is the same?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

The BAF tickets do have specific dates you can use them. So, yes there are blackout days. Also, I think you missed the window of opportunity to buy season passes with the BAF benefit. Most of these perks are given to you when you purchase early. The earlier the more you get. We purchased ours for 2013 during old time Christmas in 2012. This is when you get the most extras. Usually that promo will run until early Jan then you get a few less things offered. So, they offer more incentives to get your money early. I think if you buy right now you do not get BAF's at all. Hope this is not to confusing.

The website doesn't mention Guest Vouchers (BAFs) because they are no longer offered with a Season Pass; that benefit went away with the pre-season prices.

Also...

Quote
When you purchase a Silver Dollar City Season Pass, you will receive the following: Unlimited visits to Silver Dollar City.

This means YOU the pass holder only receives unlimited visits.

next...

Quote
$5 off full-price, one-day regular adult (ages 12-61) or child (ages 4-11) admission for up to 6 guests visiting with you (all operating days, except April 6).

Guests that visit with a Season Pass holder can receive $5 off their full price ticket.

As stated numerous times on this thread alone, BAF have to be used with the Season Pass Holder. They cannot be sold or given out, as they will not work at the turnstiles without the Season Pass Holder.

Hi, I'm just looking for some updated information, and you guys on here know everything so I am hoping you can help.  We are going to SDC right after Christmas and are looking for discount tickets for my parents.  My husband and I and our son have season passes, but purchased them to late to get the guest passes.  My parents did not get season passes this year because they were unsure if they would be able to go.  I have seen 2 day passes for the price of 1 day on the reserve Branson site and I know they are available at some local places.  Just making sure these are legitimate tickets and also where in town they can be purchased?  I also read somewhere that one of the days can be used as the come in after 7 pm and get the next day free and then use the other day on yet another day.  Is this true?  Would love to get the maximum amount of time for my parents and saving some money too since they both need to rent ECV's and that needs to be figured into costs.  Thanks so much for any info you can give us.

Well 1st of all, call and reserve the ECV's as soon as you know what day you are going..  they rent out fast, especially this time of year.

2nd of all the 2 for 1 are valid, can be purchased about anywhere in town that is open (motels/ticket agencies) , I use All Access Branson on 76 for all my ticket needs..  417-332=2121, talk to Michele if you can, Lori and Patti can help also.... these ticket are good for 2 days, muct be used within a 3 day period of time.

Not sure about the after7 , get in next day?

ANother thought might be, IF you parents want to come back next year, but a daily pass this year, then upgrade for next years pass.. might save some money overall.....??

What days are you actually going? There may be a chance that one or two of us may be there at the same time with leftover BAF's for them to use.. .

Keep in mind if you upgrade you WILL NOT get the BAFS. Not sure why they take this option away....???
