I ran across this on the Internet before. It is sweet...and its so great: When the camera pans across Lake Taneycomo(White River) at the beginning, it is amazing at how the physical landscape has not really changed, people have just built new buildings in the shots of downtown Branson. The Owen Theater has not really changed, either. If you find the old photos by Hall on the Internet (Search Harold Bell Wright) you will find a large series of photos by a guy who was a photographer and lived in the old Jim Lane Cabin (it was really the Hall log house at Mutton Hollow) and see all the old photos of the area from the nineteen teens. The physical landscape does not change...the land is always the land, the hills, and so on. Just the stuff man has built changes. If you could transport yourself back in time, you could still find your way around Branson if you had your bearings based on the land, not the roads or buildings.
