Family Reunion - good places to stay?
« on: August 28, 2014, 07:24:31 PM »
We will be down in October and will have 7 Adults and 4 children with us. A few years ago we did this and stayed in a 3 bedroom condo at Still Waters. This worked out really well because it allowed everyone their own space/privacy and a common area to eat meals/hang out.

Are there other places like this that we should consider?

Best way to get a good deal?

Thanks,
Matt

Junior, too!

Consider the cabins at the Wilderness, just across the holler fro SDC.

I didn't think they had large enough cabins for this many people?

http://www.silverdollarcity.com/wilderness/camping/Log-Cabins/Loft-Cabins.aspx

According to their website, the "Loft" cabins have a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds & 1 twin bed upstairs. All cabins have heating, air conditioning, table with 4 chairs, and ceiling fans. All cabins have a bathroom with a shower, microwave, cable TV, coffee pot, small refrigerator, and gas grill on deck with 2 rocking chairs.

Hope that helps! :)

If your spending a lot of your time at the city, check out "Bavarian Village"..  The are about 1/2 south and back west of SDC.  have different sizes of cabins, and seem to be very reasonable rates.....

Thanks guys! Our goal is to be under the same roof without being all in the same room. I think this rules out the wilderness but the Bavarian village might be an option. I know there are other places on Indian point.... But I am not familiar with them.

Notch Estates Rentals have nice condos with two bedroom and fold out couch for around $125 per night. they also have a couple of town house that can hold up 10 or more people. just a half mile past the City on 76 and behind the Notch Inn.
SDC has always made a great past to remember

Thank you all for the suggestions and please keep them coming! This could be a nice thread for everyone to reference for future trips with large groups!
