On our trip back from Florida, we came through Georgia and took a four mile trip over to the entrance to Wild Adventures. The place looks just like it's described - like some farmer started an exotic animal collection, started letting people visit the animals, and then added rides. The place is just plopped in the middle of some farm land - which is all right - but it lacks the character of the Ozarks. Here are some really bad pics of the entrance sign and some billboards (We weren't willing to pay to park or go inside after such a long trip.):

Does ZZ Top really fit in with HFE?

Do these look like CC ads to you?
You can tell it's Herschend just because of the Kidfest and the Veggietales signage. Other than that, no.
^^Look at the first pic. I understand the performances on 6-14, 6-21, and 6-28, but when does the date of 7-59 fall? :D
Good eye. I had not looked that closely.
^(in regards to the sign) HA! i wish zz top would come and play at sdc or cc......not going to happen but it would be cool
^^^Lol! Good eye!
I found another picture.

^Nice pic, with a good shot of Hangman in the background!
I've always wanted to ride that coaster. I've heard it's a lot of fun, and really quiet too.
Here are photos from 2006 from GAP

Wild Adventures just announced Bombora, a Proslide Tornado slide, will be added to their water park in March of next year. This confuses me. I know they put up a sign announcing Kalani Towers for next year (basically a clone of WW Branson's slide tower complex). Does Bombora replace Kalani Towers, or are they adding two rides next year? Here's the website: http://wildadventures.net/whats_new/2008/09/bombora_1.php (http://wildadventures.net/whats_new/2008/09/bombora_1.php)
What do bet that Bombora also shows itself at WWB?
Maybe they changed their minds because a Tornado is more family friendly? It's odd to see a park completely change it's mind on a major attraction like that, but there are no complaints here.
^^I would have no problem seeing a Bombora at WWB. :)
Wild Adventures has confirmed a tornado slide for next year for Splash Island, and has stated that it will replace the Kalani Towers concept and be the only new addition to the park in 2009. However, it seems like they've hit a snag with the name Bombora, as all uses of the name have been removed from the site. The only reference to Bombora is in the url. I have a feeling it will have a new name in the near future. See for yourself:

OFFICIAL: Wild Adventures definitely had snags with the use of the name Bombora for their new tornado slide. Its name has been changed from Bombora to Wahee Cyclone. It is still set to open in March 2009, so there's one HFE capital investment that hasn't been pushed back a year.
According to Screamscape, WA is removing Tiger Terror, a kiddie Wisdom Dragon Wagon coaster, and putting it up for sale.
Interesting. Being late in the year it's not like they have plans for the land or anything, sounds like they're just getting rid of some redundant rides.
Well they got rid of Go Gator when they bought Branson USA, not much different
