Where's for favorate place to eat at SDC? I think I may have to say Molly's Mill, gotta love the buffet.
Strawberries and ice cream in front of the saloon. Even when it is a cold rain out. Been there, done that.
The Lumbercamp, hands down.
Family Feud!
Gotta show some love for the lumber camp...thinks it's been too long since I've eaten there...know where I'll be march 19th.
The House of BBQ during Bluegrass and BBQ fest.
Nice one Swoosh. The food there is great.
I like a Big Jack sandwich, but also the open-face beef at Aunt Polly's when they have it. Most of the time however, I eat at the employee lounge which isn't too shabby these days.
I would say that we frequent the RibHouse down by the Lost River the most during our visits to SDC.
While I have never purchased food there (usually just eat there on Media Day) the International Cafe during World Fest is always fun to get food from. I loved the Chicken Napolean that they had there 2 years ago (year TGS opened).
I've got to go with dk. Strawberry and ice cream. Definitely. Or, The Lumbercamp. We eat there almost every trip.
I like the BBQ buffet in the Mine....
I used to head for the Riverside Rib House everytime, but their supplier changed in the last two years so the food is considerably different now. These days I always head to the lumber camp for the $12 meal with a huge burger, basket of fries, large drink, and slice of pie. It makes me think back to the time I spent close to $15 at CP for a plate of chicken and rice, with no drink. One more reason to love SDC.
^When Missy and I go to SDC we go to Ribhouse and we each get an open faced BBQ pulled pork sandwich, skillet taders, and baked beans, with a drink refill. It usually is only about $23.00 for the both of us. That's a lot of food for not very much money IMHO
I tend to space my eating so that I have a little of everything. A stop by Big Jack's is a must....but then I always have to save room for the Fried Pickles at the Lumbercamp!
we usually hit the rib house down by the Lost River, but for the value we go to the mine restraunt
What is that aroma dancing in the air
Why it is corn, potatoes, peppers, onions and lard I declare
I can't resist that big giant skillet
And Lord only knows afterwards I always feel it
Like a punch in the stomach when I wasn't look'un
But that ne'er stopped me from that Bear grease cook'un
And that was the beginning and the end of my crooning career. ;D
Do you count the salsa and apple butter samples at the Apple shop as a meal? cause I have seen PLENTY of people act as that is their buffet! It is outragous!
Hmm, maybe I need to try that ::)
My family rushes down to the apple butter store to get an apple turnover with apple butter or we go to the mill. I can't leave the park until I have cinnamon bread, sufferin' succotash, pork rinds, and fried pickles (thanks betamike!).
