Glad you enjoyed this great park! We are heading down this weekend (24th-26th) with 4 teen girls, so I pray the crowds aren't too big for them. Already have 2 Six Flags St. Louis trips under our belts for April with a ton of success of light crowds and short wait times, so I hope this trend continues at SDC!

Very familiar with Hazelwood, I worked up that way for many years before I retired. We live in Wildwood, MO which is only minutes from Six Flags and have had passes for years, except for a short period in the late 2000's because the park was REALLY going downhill. But ever since they corrected those problems....it has been great again. Not a fan of the water park, but my girls love it.

AGREED! Disney is out of control.....we did a 10 day trip in 2004 when my two girls were 4 and 5 and a 5 day visit in 2010. I am sooooo glad they are out of that stage. Super, crazy expensive but they loved it back then.
Universal on the other hand is very reasonable and has much more superior rides in my opinion. It definitely isn't a little kid park like Disney, I always tell people that kids should be at least 9 or 10 to fully enjoy Universal and the Harry Potter portions of the parks. My girls are 14 and 15 now, and have no interest in Disney but love Universal and all the rides. I am a huge Halloween Horror Nights (and Six Flags Fright Fest) fan.....so usually from the middle of Sept until the end of Oct, I can be found at one or the other on the weekends!

Six Flags opens this Friday for the 2015 season. We live only minutes away and have been season pass holders for years. We are planning on attending on Friday and on Easter Sunday morning since we don't have family obligations until late afternoon.
Anyone else here passholders? Anyone planning on going anytime soon? Let us know on here!

Other Parks / Universal Orlando Resort HHN 25

My girls and I just got back from Universal Orlando a few weeks ago. We love these parks and go as much as we can. We also got to go this past June for the opening of the second Harry Potter section, Diagon Alley, which is excellent.
The reason I wanted to post this as a topic was to see if anyone on here is a Universal fan and if they are attending anytime soon. Like I said, we go pretty often and we are planning another early June trip and I have also already booked everything for late September for the Halloween Horror Nights 25th anniversary.
Anyone else here a HHN fan or thinking of attending???

New plans for our April 24 -26 trip I posted above, we are now staying on Indian Point at Stillwaters Resort. With having 4 teenage girls this trip, my wife wanted a bigger place than the 2 small hotel room, so that the girls can have a place to watch TV or play board games at night. We have stayed here numerous times and have always had good experiences.

[ADMIN EDIT - FYI, I deleted a number of argumentative posts in this thread, but will leave this one. - Shave]
I love SDC and have been going since I was a kid back in the 70s. I enjoy sharing knowledge with people about the parks that I attend often, and I love learning history, tips, or tricks from other like minded people.
The beauty of coming to a new forum is that at first I don't have any opinion or allegiance to anyone on it. With that being said I would like to share my observations with some of you, especially the moderators.
This young man, Leroy, is getting a really bad shake on here. I don't know him or anyone else on here from Adam, and you can take my observation or leave it. It has just gotten to the point of bullying and harassment that I felt like I needed to stand up and say something.
I went back and read every one of Leroy's posts....all 98 of them and even put them into context to get a feel to how the post was "sounding" in response to other posts. I totally admit that some of his ideas of shows, music, or rides are ridiculous to my ear for my beloved SDC, but I can tell, nonetheless, that he is excited and has an equal love of the park and doesn't say a negative thing to anyone. He also seems to feel he has an "in" at the park and that he may hold knowledge that the rest of us don't have. Too all this I say.....SO WHAT, who cares, just because you don't like what he says it doesn't give some of you the right to make personal attacks on him.
To those of you that felt the need to make fun of this young man's photos and bully him by referring to Deliverance, basically saying he looks like an inbreed, and if he plays banjo, or calling him a troll (2015 Meet Up thread)....shame on you. I understand all of your inferences, whether he does or not, whether you admit it or not, it is incredibly offensive. All your other little snide comments say a whole lot more about you, than it does of him. If anyone deserves to be banned from this site...it is those making these personal attacks, not the guy that who seems like he is trying to be helpful, even if he maybe a little bit of a narcissist.
Moderators....take this however you want, I just couldn't in good conscience sit back while these "veteran" posters continued to act like elitist forum bullies. I would think that everyone would be accepting of others that are here to share their love of this park and post ideas of what they would like to see, even if you don't agree with these ideas. If I am now unwelcome here because of this post, then so-be-it, I will just say.....Enjoy the park and try to remember the Christian values that it prides itself on. Thanks for listening.

Anyway, I could have sworn I've riden some 16-passenger S&S towers, but now that I look back on them I see that I was wrong. They do have a 16 passenger model though: http://www.engineeringexcitement.com/product/double-shot-tower/
Shavethewhales,
You were NOT wrong.....Doctor Doom's Fearfall is 16. I just rode it a couple weeks ago a few times, so I'm sure of it. Could this be the one you rode, possibly???

Doctor Doom Freefall at Universal's Islands of Adventure holds 16. Just off the top of my head. Double 16 person towers.

Thanks All for the welcome and comments on the pics. I only posted maybe half of what I have and I will go thru the rest to see if I have more menu boards and prices since those seem to be the most popular. I'm sure I have a bunch more!

For what it is worth, I am 6 foot, 255, with a 42" waist and have no problems riding ANY of the rides, as I was just there on Opening Day. Wildfire may be the toughest to fit on, so if you rode that, you should be good. Wildfire actually has larger rider seats in rows 3,4,5, and 6 that you can use if you felt cramped it there. You can tell the difference by the double buckles on the restraint bar.
Here is a video I shot opening day with the information i supplied above in it and pics of the test seats outside a couple rides, plus I have more videos on that same page with other SDC videos. Check em out if you wish. Link.......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB7Dp75aQcg
