I was sad to learn on Wednesday that Jerry Bishop will only be at SDC until the 30th, he's retiring. It's the last chance to pick up watercolors.

I didn't know about the new LED lights, and didn't notice any difference from last year's lights. Everything looked just as magical as last year.  :)

The crowds were light before noon and after 4 to moderate around 12-4. Most rides were walk-ons, but all of the shows were packed. Arriving 30 minutes early to each show was plenty of time to get good seats. Don't be intimidated by the Island Fire line, that theater is huge. This Thursday may be busier with the weather forecast being bad on Friday and Saturday. I may try to go again.

World Fest Review

Had a great time on Thursday. Flowers were blooming all over the park, making waiting in line more pleasant.

The good: Ecuador Manta, Zuma Zuma, Osminka, Fried Bread, flooded mine ride (music wasn't working)

Excellent: Slask, Island Fire, Dearbhail Finnegan, Bakery Bread, Ice Cream Shop, all SDC staff (very friendly)

Awful: Tandoori Gobi Skillet--Inedible, cold cauliflower lightly sprinkled with seasoning, sitting in a styrofoam bowl with 3 inches of water on the bottom. No yogurt, onions or peppers as promised.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / World Fest

Hi! I just bought a SDC season pass, and I'm really excited about the upcoming season. I haven't been in over a decade. I would like to visit World Fest at least twice. I would appreciate any tips. What dates would be the least crowded? How early would you recommend arriving to miss Branson traffic? What are your favorite things to do/see in SDC/ Branson in April? Is the show lovers pass necessary for shows like Cirque Du Soleil? Thanks!
