Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2013 Project

Oooh, I'm so excited for Outlaw Run's opening day. Just a little over a week!

So who else is going to be there? I'm going, and I know Swoosh is going.. anybody else? :)

I'm sure there's a back entrance made especially for staff. Most parks have one.

Construction/Rumors / Re: Your Attraction Ideas

The only thing I'm not big on of renovating Fire in the Hole is the fact that some of the classic figures of it would be taken away and replaced with spangled new  stuff. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but one factor I love about that ride is the outdated animatronics that make it cheesy, but very "SDC-esque".

Our land is on a small cove near Indian Point, past the no wake zone, it is pretty quiet, and nice for a peaceful canoe, or paddle. e got into the habit of renting a noce pontoon every summer, but chose not to this year for whatever reason. We didn't go out on the lake the first 28 years of my life, what is one more year!

When we did go out, my mom commented " all this time down here and we never did this? that was fun!"

That's funny.. our pontoon rental was just a little bit down the road from Indian Point. It's a nice area around there.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Ice Cream!

Hannah's Ice Cream Parlor.. one of my favorite places to stop at SDC. They just need to work on hiring more people, lines are awful there sometimes. ;)

Btw, it is nice to see they added lactose free ice cream. I can't imagine what it would taste like, but it is a pleasant addition! Haha.

Sorry if there's a thread for this already. :-\

Anyway, what are your thoughts and opinions about Table Rock Lake? Do you visit a lot? Do you rent a boat or pontoon, etc?

So I recently went on my trip to Branson, which some might know. I had never been on Table Rock before it, so I had mix beliefs about it. I don't know why, I'm just not a huge lake person. So we got to a pontoon rental, which had some REALLY nice boats, and we headed out. It turned out amazing!! It's one of my favorite lakes and is two times better than Ozarks. Unlike Lake of the Ozarks, this water is actually see through and not murky whatsoever. It gets a greenish tone from some of the 'gunk' on the bottom, but you could go deep underwater and still be able to see their skin. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I hope to visit next year again.

I'm hoping to go to Coaster Christmas. I have never gone, so I might bring along my friend. It just depends. It sounds really fun though!

Love your photos, Junior. They're so spectacular and capture the scene of the park. Wonderful pictures!

I have fond memories of Huck Finn's Hideaway too. It always seemed magical when I climbed through it with my cousins. But yeah, there still isn't much to do in it that entertained me.

In 2004, 2005, and 2006 we stayed at the Wyndham Meadows Condos, a few minutes south of the business district of Branson. We skipped our 2007 trip to Branson that year, and the next year (2008) we we stayed at Thousand Hills Condos. We're finally going back to Branson for a week this summer and returning to our original condos- Wyndham Meadows.

It's nice to go back to the place we originally started our Branson visits. My childhood is wrapped up in these condos and I can't wait to go back. :)

White Water Discussion / Re: WW 2012 Info

I always loved the way White Water was set up against the busy street beside. It's a great eye pleaser but it is just missing something. If they were to invest in something great, I'd be happy.

I like Junior's idea with "The Baldknobber". Too bad Outlaw has already been almost confirmed.

As much as I approve this ride, I find it to be wayyy out of line for Silver Dollar City. Definitely something intensifying and extreme. At least it's bringing those white-knucklers to the park.
