I thought I could never get sick ridding rides.  Then the company I work for had a park night at Disney MGM studios.   We got to ride the Tower of Terror and the rock and roller coaster all we wanted.  We rode the roller coaster 13 times in a row and got to walk through without waiting.  Well about the 12 time here came the spins.  I am sure the same would happen on Wildfire.   It would be a blast to try and yes I would sign up

We used to love eating at Mollys in the morning but we have now changed to the Cin Rolls, they are really good.   Funnel Cakes are always a plus in the mornings.   Do not miss the wood carvers if they are working really neat and it smells great in the building.   The ride that most takes your breath away is the giant swing.  Hard to not hold on while almost upside down.  Best show all day is the Ice Cream eating contest.  Lots of fun with all involved.

Pathway to rides   FITH, Thunderation etc? or main pathways like the narrow walk way to the Grand Ex  or the  narrow road by the Candy shop?

Yet while we all chime in about the value level of the park  basketballs are being dribbled down hill street and a pizza buffet is served at lunch    and you can see where the employees park when you drive in.   Corp is already in the park and will grow more and more each year.

Went on the cave tour with my family and when we got to the bottom an older couple man and wife were the last ones down.  Well she had just had knee replacement and was having lots of trouble(go figure)  the tour kept going and they turn out the lights.  Sent my younger son up to stop the guide and my son in law and I help carry her until they got some help down in the cave for her.

Had to walk down the American Plunge ramp one time.

Walked into Grandfathers Mansion and found a couple making out.

Was riding the PowderKeg ride and my cell phone came out of the pocket at the top of one of the hills a man in the car behind me caught the phone as it hung in the air

Saw and older lady in slick shoes take a ride down a rain soaked Hill Street.  She did not fall but is was so funny to watch them trying to catch her as she was sliding.  She was twisting and turning as she slid down the hill.

Would be the end of a great family park.  SDC is a theme park not an amusement park.  If you need to drink at SDC you might have a problem.    We love to have beers and bbq each night back at the condo but at SDS   NO WAY

Road the ride for the first time this year.  As we were going over one of the humps my phone(did not know it happened) came out of my pocket      the phone hung in the air and hung in the air until a guy in the next car could grabl it.  I was really shocked when we got back to the loading platform and he handed it back to me.   After that we made sure all our pockets were empty the rest of the day.   Being 6'4" and 245 I did not think that anything could wedge itself out of my pockets on the rides was I wrong, and lucky.

I have to agree with Swoosh the thing to do is to move it out to the SDC property.  With an investment of 35-40 million SDC would have Branson really starting to worry.  They are close enough on Indian Point to use the lake.  If they had one or two themed hotels to stay at(as a beginning) along with the water park people would have no reason to drive down the strip.

SDC is your first home, your first love, it will always be something special even if it does not have all the shine, bells, and whistles, of your later life.  It is a special place where you can go and get away.  It is more retail driven and because of this it does feel more like a real city.  It does feel like you are visiting old friends when you get on the train, the mine, Grandpa's Mansion.

Remember that a great deal more people live within six hours of DW as compare to SDC.  DW also has to compete against some very good parks and attractions I am not sure that SDC has any real competition they are the king of the hill.

I have looked at several maps of SDC and two things stand out.  First is just how much land they own and the possibilities that they have.

Second it is interesting to see how the park expanded.  With all the land that they own they built towards 76.  I would have thought they would have been concerned with keeping the park hidden.  Thus keeping up some of the mystic

Does this belong in Branson?  Does anyone want this guy and his style coming to Branson?  If Wayne Newton did not fit in how will this guy?

My guess is that this was a cost cutting move.  They already have one show for the the dinner cruise why pay for extra.  Even though my family almost fell from the captians row the first time we saw Todd and his dogs it was not nor has ever been the major draw for us to the Branson Belle.  I do not want to make it seem like we do not enjoy his show (heck I know of at least 3 cd's we have bought for the kids) but he does not make the event.  I really wonder if he can come up with enough to hold a crowd for two hours.  We all wish him well and will miss him on the boat.

When our daughter was growing up we went to kids fest in the summer and it seems to me that SDC had a great many things for kids to do including a nick show with a slim maker included.  It seemed to be a great deal of fun.  The last time we all went for kids fest it seemed kind of a dumb thing.  Not much for kids.  If you are going to do something go big or don't go.

How many people does that place hold when the house is full.
