Wildfire and Outlaw Run now offer videos along with the ride photo.
The videos are $5 each and are not included with the photo card.

The video is 16x9... I do wish that they offered a 9x16 version that was specificity formatted for social.

The Fireman's Landing play place now has a single entrance where you can go to either the ball play place or the other play place. The old entrance into the ball play place is closed off the area outside of it is now covered stroller parking.

The Plaza area was being paved on opening day. You can see that they have taken the wall down and now there is just a short fence in preparation of the walkway being open.

The Flanders' Dry Goods shop is now a name jewelry and permanent jewelry shop.

Fire in the Hole now has a photo kiosk far to the left of the Photo Booth.

New entrance to the Plaza from Grand Expo.

Construction/Rumors / Re: Project 2026 Tracker

Here are some pictures from opening day. (Click on them to see them larger.)

The area being cleared is from PowderKeg, to the Lumbercamp waterfall, and then follows the path back to WildFire and includes the area around the American Plunge lift and channel.

These are from the area by PowderKeg.

These show the area near WildFire.

This is a view showing that they are extending the beginning of the tunnel on American Plunge.

The waterfall is still standing.

There is a new railroad crossing near Outlaw Run too. There are marking down through the woods and up to the maintenance area like there is going to be a new access road built through the woods somewhat along the parameter fence of OutlawRun.

It is basically the area behind the waterfall, all the way along the path to WildFire, and to PowderKeg that is cleared. American Plunge and its lift sit in the middle of it with clearing all around it. It does look like the new construction is meant to coexist with American Plunge because they are extending the tunnel at the beginning of American Plunge. I will pictures here tomorrow.

Quote from: jericho on March 13, 2025, 09:27:36 PM@TPF just posted this video with some info. I'm perplexed about the Thunderation clue.

Rumor around the park today was that this may be Thunderation's last year.

Quote from: Swoosh on March 11, 2025, 08:48:05 PMSince it was released by someone else - can confirm now that the HH restrooms have been completely redone for this season

Did they keep urinals that go all the way to the floor? My kid loves those.

They did not.

There is a new entrance gateway under construction where you enter the Plaza from Grand Expo.

The back of Red Gold is being overhauled to look great in the Plaza. I appreciate the attention to detail in even painting the HVAC units.

Construction also continues at the resort. I didn't get a photo of it, but the valley where the abandoned mansions is being filled in with the dirt being removed from the resort site.

Quote from: ColaSDC on February 17, 2025, 02:15:19 PMI'm also excited to see how the new area connecting Grand Expo and Fire District looks. I'm a little afraid it will look like a parking lot but I trust Herschend to make it look nice.

During An Old Time Christmas you could see that the asphalt in the entire area was removed. I know a few people were concerned that they were just going to add the stage and seating on top of the existing asphalt, but isn't the case.

Dollywood Discussion / New Indoor Ride - 2026
January 27, 2025, 08:45:39 AM
It has been reported that the new ride opening in 2026 is an indoor ride that will do something that no other indoor ride in the world does. Any guesses?

I really hope that it is our version of Big Bear Mountain. It is just an all around fun ride and has a 39" minimum height. Having a real coaster with a low minimum height would be great for the park.

It sounds like Ozark Marketplace may be getting a remodel to some extent.

The registers may be moving to the area where the old sign shop was by the exit. This would open up the middle for a more direct exit path similar to how Dollywood exit was remodeled to a few seasons ago.

Quote from: biscuitcreek on December 07, 2024, 04:45:53 PMWhat was the 2023 ornament?

It was the classic Fire in the Hole logo on Red Flanders pants.

That photo along with a full thread of the ornaments is on Midwest Info Guide: https://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2017/12/season-pass-ornaments-sdc.html

Is it just me or is there no way to upload a photo with a post?
From what I can see, we have to upload the photo somewhere else and the add it to the list using the link.

Looks like the side of Fire in the Hole may be getting a huge billboard facing the highway.
