I definitely agree. Part of me wants to say get a more traditional looking tree that doesn't do a show, and figure out a way to do a show in Midtown instead. That's probably not plausible though.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: SDC ringtones

There's a video I've found of the Fire in the Hole song. You might be able to ask the uploader if he can give you a file to use.

There's also a Flooded Mine one I've found as well.

I just listened to Coasterradio, and they talked about Time Traveler's opening. http://www.coasterradio.com/episodes/1223.html

Something to note is it sounds like the ride used three times the amount of concrete they originally planned for, and that took away some of the money for theming. I don't know how true this is, but it sounds plausible. It also says the park didn't expect the restraints to be so restrictive, so there might be some adjustments done in the future. It's fun to listen to if you want more opinions and firsthand experiences about the ride.

Does the ride unload people before it reaches the station? I've seen a couple of videos that make it look like that, like the live stream of the first train. Will this always be the case, or is it just for today?

I just watched the official POV video on their Facebook page, and I'm impressed. While the forward-facing video looks tame, the spinning adds so much to it. I'm excited to try it out, as it is unlike anything else I've seen. Going sideways in the vertical loop looks so strange.

As far as the theming, it reminds me of Lightning Rod as well (which I also haven't been on, so I'm just guessing). The top two floors are intriguing, but I am slightly disappointed with the bottom floor, as I thought it would be what we saw in the video about Charles and Emmeline. I was thinking dim lighting with books and clocks scattered everywhere, which I don't think I see in the few videos I've seen. I could be wrong though. I do think what they have is well done, and similar to the park's other queues. Overall though, the whole experience appears to be outstanding.

Branson Talk / Re: New Showboat Branson Belle survey

I agree that the boat should have a boat related show. I feel like the regular music shows they do, while still fun, don't really make sense on a boat. I think it'd be neat to have a more interactive show where the guest feels like they're part of the experience, instead of just watching musicians, which can be done on land. As far as Christmas shows go, I'd like to see something similar to White Christmas maybe, but instead of a ski lodge, it's about the ship. A custom production like that would probably work better than the productions mentioned in the survey.

From what I can tell, I think the ride is a good balance between intensity and family friendly. I know it looks tame, but I think we may be writing of the rotating aspect a little bit. I bet the ride seems somewhat insane when you're actually on it, going through inversions and s-turns while sideways or backwards. I think the cars spin at the right speed, just enough to be crazy, but not enough to make anybody too sick.

I can't wait to ride Time Traveler! It is beautiful, and the colors and swooping elements work well in the area. It's astounding how close the final turn is to Thunderation. It's neat being able to look straight up on TNT and see a giant curve right above you.

I think ACE is planning on having their Spring Con at SDC next May, which should be fun.

My dad and I just registered for the event yesterday! We've gone the past three years and can't wait to go again!

Normally I like seeing coasters from outside, but I have to admit I was a little disappointed when I saw Outlaw Run from Highway 76 last fall. I always thought the ride was more secluded than it actually is. On the other hand, I love being able to see Wildfire and Powderkeg from the parking lot.
