Im here as well!  I still hop on from time to time and would very much move over to the new site if it happens.

It doesn't really confirm anything we didn't already know but it is very cool to see them. Nice job snagging them before they got taken down

If I can go to SDC and avoid the tourist trap that Branson is I will. Not much there that interests me at all and besides it all seems so broken down and old. Trashy empty lots and cheap motels. Unfortunately most of the AirBNBs are located where you have to travel through this mess or take a long route around. Hopefully the new resort will help and we can come in from the west and avoid it all.

I will say though, in recent years I feel that they have slowly started getting better quality attractions replacing either empty lots or abandoned buildings (Wonderworks, Branson Boardwalk/Aquarium, Branson Coaster, etc.)

If you have a 1-Park Silver Dollar City Season pass, you can use it at the White Water gate to get 1 ticket for $29. Valid through September 4th.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: SDC Logo

It's always so entertaining to me to see what incredibly corporate and frankly BS reasons companies come up with to justify every single minor detail on their new logo lol

I'm not one to tout conspiracies but I can't help but think this is sabotage and not gross incompetence. I never believed the fire was an accident either TBH

Conspiracy wise it's probably less so sabotage and more so Herschend trying to cut costs where they can and doing less maintenance on rides. Which I hope like crazy isn't true because WOW what a can of worms that can be.

Universal is being highly aggressive in Orlando. Epic Universe looks to be, well, epic.

Yes, that park is shaping up to be absolutely insane. Every new update to come out gets me more excited haha

Sorry if this has been answered before, but for anyone who has visited the park this year, with all the new parking stuff going on, has the free parking allotment shrunk/stayed the same/grown? How about the preferred parking - grown/stayed the same?

Thanks!

The more I walk by and look at it, the more I am thinking the ride will be receiving an overlay system like The Dark Knight and Verbolten, and less like a fixed wall system such as the Fire In The Hole Twins and Justice League Rides. Work has been taking place inside, as every once in a while, even thru the dirty windows, you can get a glimpse of workers on the lifts. Noticed from the highway pulling onto Indian Point that the HVAC has been installed on the roof.

For that matter, Fire In The Hole does not seem like a ride that has a foot in the grave. I got hosed for the first time in a few years by the water cannon last week and theming elements that break are still getting repaired.

I rode FITH this past Saturday and also got wet on that final drop for the first time in a very long time. Took me very much by surprise haha.

The building is taller and is not the same shape as the other making it extremely unlikely they'll be the same layout.

Please note ALL coasters at SDC are considered "family".

lol they consider Time Traveler a family ride?

Outlaw Run is perfectly fine for me if I ride in the front 2-3 cars. Back half of the train though...way different story.

Will this coaster use the same layout or will this have a different layout? I would love to see a drop track, or possibly a high speed switch track. And from the rumors will the coaster be manufactured by RMC?

SDC is probably going in the family direction for the ride, given that this is going to be replacing a family favorite. A drop track is definitely a possibility and something I would love to see on the new ride. RMC I believe is all but confirmed to be the manufacturer for the ride.

If they include the Red Flanders gag as a nod to the original, I'll consider it a win.

My favorite part of FITH. Even if its just a sign in the queue, they need to have some sort of homage to poor Mr. Flanders stolen pants.

I wonder how much bigger this will end up?

The building will be twice the size of the current FITH (height and square footage)

wowzers. I am very excited for this.
