Branson Talk / The Vigilante Zipline
September 10, 2010, 10:29:01 PM
At Shepherd of the Hills, there is a zipline called "the Vigilante" that apparently got put up. I just discovered it when I went to Branson over Labor Day weekend. Anyone ridden it or heard of it?

QuoteHowever, as much as Silver Dollar City, and Dollywood are similar, they always seem to take two different paths to get to the same destination. Just because Dollywood does something, doesn’t always mean that Silver Dollar City will follow.

Amen! I highly doubt Geyser Gulch will be effected because the Dreamland Forest treehouses were removed from Dollywood. Kids love to play on Geyser Gulch and it's always done really well. On a different note, with the new attraction coming anything could happen.

I'm in the same boat as oldsdcer and tinaalsgirl. I've never been to Dollywood so I can't really say.

I think I was four or five when I went on the Branson Belle and saw Todd Oliver. Didn't he also have a Ventriloquist dummy or am I thinking of a different guy?

White Water Discussion / Re: WW in 2011
July 23, 2010, 10:34:34 PM
That is actually a pretty good idea to relocate WW on the CC property. Even thought the hotel thing would probably make a lot of money, I think it's a little too extreme for SDC. I don't want to feel like I'm going into Disney world when I want to go to WW if ya know what I mean! ;D

If I were you I would definetly try to make it to Montana Mikes or the Grand Country Buffet. They also have an awesome restaurant located right on the College of the Ozarks campus. ;D

I've never been to the Wilderness cabins, but I heard that you really have to rough it.

QuoteWere talking 1994-2006! Before Christmas On Main Street.

My bad. But I do believe that that polar express song started getting used in 2005 or 2006.
