It's a 12 min long ride. Might be a while.

Sad? Sounds to me like a unforeseen issue.  I guess they could have waiting top em it till they ran this pipe but maybe they waved to get people riding and fix that later.  Some folks have to nitpick things

Yeah it's sad it's an unforeseen issue on a multi million dollar project. It doesn't take a genius to know that a raft that size won't spin on a dry piece of plastic.  Not SDC fault but the builder/designers

When the rafts returns to the platform, there is a pad it sits on and ir spun around to line up the entrance toward the riders, it wouldn't spin without the platform being wet so they zip tied a hose to the floor so it would keep it wet.  Sad

Several hundred rode this morning, we waited in line 30 minutes and when we were on the raft, they closed the ride before we even launched.   Sux.

I call BS.  That section of track has settled.  My guess is they do not want to spend the money fixing it.  It would probably be about like putting piers in a house foundation.

Well you'd be incorrect because they're literally having discussions right now on how and when to repair the ride (and not just this bump).  Sliding piers is not a new phenomenon.  Powder Keg has had several piers repaired and/or replaced over the years as have a few other rides.  The issue is that when you build a ride on fill dirt, over time it will settle and adjust.  It's just what happens.  So back to TNT, they're discussing the fix and hopefully it can be done before next season.

I wish he had just been honest then and told me that instead of the BS about accelerometers.

I just spoke with the director of maintenance and construction, a nice young man, I wouldn't look for any correction. The " accelerometer " is saying all is well.  :(.  I know we are not imagining this.

Yes that's exactly where it is and it is BAD.  I have talked to several people and they all complained too.

What about approaching the HFE Board with the Idea of an advisory Sounding Board made up of long time visitors of SDC to bounce off Ideas etc for long term projects?

I think the problem is that the "Directors" have no clue about the REAL SDC

Let me put it another way... We all know the feeling that we (long time visitors) get when we go through the entrance, right? Heck it even started with the green trams and the smell of Butane. Well......the people calling the shots now never had the feeling in the first place.

It is very obvious that the further Jack and Pete get away from SDC the more it is losing its charm. Miss Mary would roll over!!
