SDC Memories/ Park History / Re: Buzzsaw Falls Video
April 29, 2012, 01:49:41 PM
That was great! I love a good SDC video.

As for Buzz Saw, my favorite part was flying through the trees. I am really looking forward to that with the new coaster and hope we get to spend a lot of time among nature while on that ride.

The place you need to go is Billy Gail's Cafe. Great food, beautiful scenery and close to SDC. Open at 7!

If alcohol was allowed at SDC we'd have all kinds of loose articles on rides!  ;)

Looks like everyone has decided that SDC only has room for one kind of spirit... the Holy one!

The dad is holding it out in from of him, probably with a camera strap around his wrist. He kept his arm stretched out during the whole ride. They were already outside of the loading area so the attendants couldn't do anything about it, but they probably said something to him after the ride.

I'm kinda sad about the reaction this video got; I thought everyone would be excited to see this boy's reaction on PK. I reckon we need to remain advocates of park rules, especially because of those dumb girls who didn't have the camera strapped to their person. Technically, it wouldn't be a loose article - just a fancy bracelet. (<-- This is a sarcastic comment!!! Is that clear?? Okay, good!)

I'll stop stirring the pot now.

Just double-checked - that's not my kid.

That's what camera straps are for!

This video will make you smile! It reminds me of the first time I road a roller coaster with my dad.

Branson Talk / Re: Geocaching

I want to try this when I go to Branson this summer. Rube, do you know the names of the ones you did for downtown Branson and Table Rock Lake? Are they on that list? As a warning, I'm not too familiar with what goes into geocaching, but it sounds like a great way to see places I might not normally come across.

I'd say you're right there with the best of us. I see, smell, hear, taste something that reminds me of the city every day.

That is very reasonable! I was expecting it to be as expensive as the Build-a-Bear store.

Thanks Junior! I am always amazed to find out about a bit of SDC that I never knew about. Keeps the place even more magical for me.
