Construction/Rumors / Re: Flooded Mine Changes!

I grew up in the era of "no guns" (man in the bottle, rock slide, runaway saw blade), etc. I was old enough to be nostalgic when they put the guns in. I was right on the cusp of thinking it was cool to embrace new trends, and still a little repulsed.
I've grown to appreciate the gun era, but also feel that it's time to give the old gal a facelift.

Yep, for any citizen of the city the "Shad Cabin" was very well known as the place that he and Molly lived for a short time. Junior is right about it turning into many different facilities. Back when I worked there, it was the Security checkpoint for employees (with the parking lot being the actual Grand Exposition) and also a cash control drop off area for those employees leaving at the end of the day.

Interesting. No such label on the back of it, but I'd bet it came from Lugene's

I should rephrase: I wish people would still use serving trays in their every day lives as well. Wasn't that a simpler time!

So mom has blackmail material, huh ?
She does. Although, she's actually quite proud of it, NO ONE wants to have a video tape of them singing the "fudge song" off key for posterity.

Yikes! I've been away a while. Sorry for the delay. Yep! My mom is a proud woman and taped me making both fudge and brittle one summer. I'm going to state right now that I'll be keeping my dignity and that tape put away for a while

During my time in Branson, there were at least four McGuffey's and they all had these gorillas in front of them (never really understood it).

Every time I see this thread title, I think of the old SOTH bookstore. It was always a must-stop when I was a kid.
Someone posted pics of the ruins a couple of years ago.
Yep, I snuck up there. Here's some of the photos
