Let's see, that would be-----
Jae McFerron.......as Zeke
Patsy Lane..........as Sarie Ellen
Bonnie Borden......as Ma Hatfield
Jana Henleben......as Ma Hatfield
Elmer Wallace.......as Pa Hatfield
Jeff Kimes............as Zeke
Wayne Milnes.......as Pa McCoy (foreground)
Not sure why the characters were doubled up that day. The shot is in front of the old Oak Ridge Grill which sat out in front of the west end of the General Store/WagonWorks area.
The reason the characters are doubled is because, the Hatfield Haint Show in the Meeting Hall had some of the same characters as the street troupe. We were all on main street for the closing show.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: when was your first?
January 07, 2010, 10:15:12 PM
My first visit was with my family in 1965 or 66. A film crew was doing a SDC promotional film. The crew filmed my brother asleep on my mother's lap. The film was produced by an oil company. Years later I became a member of the entertainment department.
Speaking of 50 years, I was thinking about contacting some past entertainers to produce a 50 at 50 reunion for SDC entertainers 50 and older. Any thoughts?

The person that scared you was most likely Wayne Milnes. He is a great entertainer and worked at the city from the early 70's to the 90's. He was known for his "mechanical man". He would draw a crowd, and then he would break character, it scared the crowd, and he would get a BIG laugh. He did this throughout the city.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Andy Miller
August 03, 2009, 06:35:30 PM
While working on a project with the late great SDC Theme coordinator Andy Miller, I asked him a question. I commented on how he had designed so much of the atmosphere at SDC, and I asked him, as an artist, did he put himself in any part of the City. He said, "yes, come on I will show you where I am."
He took me to Grandfather's Mansion, and he directed me to look at the window over the entrance. The window had a curtain that mechanically opened and closed and a face of a man looked out to create a "peekaboo" effect. Andy said, "see that man looking out the window through the curtain? That's me."
I was wondering if Andy is still peeking out the window?
