In this month's issue of Missouri Life is a special pullout section entitled Discover 50 Treasures of Silver Dollar City.  You collectors will probably want to pick up a copy.

I was just logging in to tell everyone about this. I love Missouri Life magazine and when I picked up the new one over the weekend I was thrilled to see the extra book included. It's "Discover 50 Treasures of Silver Dollar City" and from what I remember some people describing, it's the same book that was being sold at the park for $1 during the Anniversary weekend. Since I missed out on getting one then, I am so excited to have one now. It can easily be removed from the Missouri Life magazine. It's just got a thin strip of rubber cement holding it in.

If any of you don't live where Missouri Life magazine is sold, I will gladly pick one up and mail it to you. The magazine cost $4.50, so I guess I'd need a $5 bill from ya. There will be tax and postage, but I can't imagine it being too much. So I will cover anything over the $5. I'm not out to make a profit, just to help out some fellow fans. If you do want one, just PM me.

The SDC booklet is worth getting. One of the current citizens was kind enough to send me a copy and it was nicely done.

I picked up a copy of Missouri Life today, and yes, it's the same book that was distributed Anniversary Weekend. Worth getting, if you can.

I checked it out prior to the posts about it, and found out that indeed it was the same one from the anniversary weekend. It is worth the price of the Missouri Life though so if you don't have one...get it!

Think it'll still be on the stands when I'm there in a couple of weeks?

They were still selling the souvenir book in the Hospitality House when my family was there Memorial Day Weekend.

Missouri Life publishes monthly, so it should be available through the end of this month. Check magazine racks at convenience stores or a big book store like Barnes & Noble. I'm able to get it down here in Arkansas, so it might be available pretty much anywhere in the midwest if you have a  big chain book store to visit in your neighborhood.

I was wrong in my previous post...Missouri Life publishes six times a year, and the June issue with the SDC insert will be on news stands until the end of July.

Thanks, Junior!  I'll be sure to pick one up.

Duelist

Not trying to hurt the "Missouri Life" sales but I bought my copy of "50 Treasures of SDC" for a dollar at Hannah's Ice Cream Parlor during Bluegrass and BBQ.  They're also available at Eva and Delilah's Bakery, Molly's Mill Restraunt, and Wagon Works Grill.  So now you've got yet another reason to go back to SDC!   ;D

I'm glad I received mine in the ML (since I subscribe) before I bought one at SDC.  Saved a silver dollar in the nick of time.
