Anyone heard what might be coming to Branson or could be new in the works for the 2011 season? I was in town just two weeks ago and saw no traces of anything new or refurbished.

junior, dont know what your "looking" for..

but the go karts tracks are building a new multi level track... not sure the name of the track, But it is the group that has 3 or 4 tracks on town.

of course there are show changes coming up also.

have not noticed any other "new" construction.

Track 3 (where Wild Woody is located) is adding a new "Classic Go-Cart Track" - the foundation wall has been built and as of the 15th, most of the concrete portion had already been poured/laid.

Track 4 (where the skycoaster is located) is adding a new "Steel & Concrete High-Rise Track" - now it remains to be seen if this will be in the same style as Wildy Woody and the Lumber Jack, but it will be 4 stories tall when complete (for the record, Wild Woody is 4 stories tall and Lumber Jack is 3 stories tall)

Duelist

The Great American Wild West Show was supposed to open in 2010.  Anyone here anything about that?

Originally the Wild West show was going to open in 2009, then 2010.  Not sure if there is still a website but I did contact the company at one time via email and got a response that the entire project was on hold due to the economy.  The land on Gretna may be back up for sale.

New for Branson in 2011 is an ice skating rink at Town Square at the Landing.  Starts New Year's Day.  During the week it's 3 -8 and on the weekends noon - 8.  Skate rentals will be available.  The article on the Hometown Radio website didn't say how long it would last.  I guess as long as it's cold enough for ice....

^The one at the Crown Centre in KC lasts through March

My thoughts on the Wild West Show:  I think this would go over well in Branson. While not exactly the same, The Dixie Stampede might be some competition for this place.
You have a great past just ahead of you.

I want Midevel Times to come to Branson.  They could take over the Star Theatre lot and build it there.  It is far enough down the strip from Dixie Stampede that it would draw in that end of the strip's crowd and would not compete nearly as bad
