I remember one time, when my dad & I were on a roller coaster in Sea World in Orlando, Florida. We were stading in the que-line, and this little boy asked his mom, "hey, do you think this will be as good as wildfire?" my dad & I quickly turned around, and started up a conversation with them about SDC. It was like we were family, or had just run into old friends; there we were in Orlando, Florida talking about our beloved Silver Dollar City.
You have a great past just ahead of you.

thats a great story dollarcityboy..

One of my friend's mom asked once, "Don't you ever get tired of going there?" I just shook my head and smiled.
She'll never understand.
Everytime I smell hot asphalt, I almost cry!! Asphalt might stink, but it is my favorite smell in the whole world! Even before I realized how much my life revolves around SDC, I would notice what the smell would remind me of.
I remember walking out of the mall on a summer afternoon when I was, probably, 6 or 7. I smelled the asphalt and couldn't help but pointing it out. Mom rolled her eyes. She's gotten used to me comparing everything to SDC, it doesn't phase her anymore. I'm pretty sure she expects it! :D

Ha, that's pretty funny DollarCityBoy!

And Tiffany, it is amazing how many different senses can so quickly whisk us all back to Silver Dollar City. Surely there is some medication, or therapy for all of us. ;D

I don't wanna be fixed!! I'm very proud of what ever it is we all have  ;D

I bought black lace fingerless gloves today, because it reminded me of: wait for it....

The saloon show at SDC.

When Show Choir went to sing at SDC last December, all us girls bought pink garters to match our black and pink theme!! The director HATED it!! Since SDC was our first stop, we snuck in the garters right before our two other shows so when the director saw them, it was too late to say anything about it  ;)

I'm gonna turn my old show choir dress into a saloon girl outfit for Halloween.

And when I walked out of the mall today, I got that reminiscent asphalt smell again!!

How-doFolks

We still have apple butter from our May trip.
Going to YouTube about once a week & put in the search bar " Silver Dollar City July 2011" to see what new videos might be there.

First place I ever had atomic fireballs was SDC. i ALWAYS associate the two. Don't know why. I guess I'm just nuts.

Duelist

I was thinking of the difference between passionate and overdoing it.  Passionate means you absolutely love SDC, wish you were there always, and when you are there never wishing you were somewhere else.  Overdoing it would be missing it so much you dress up like Alf Bolin, rob an Amtrak train then hope they put you in a prison that floods so you can try to escape.  :D

Well duelist,?

I would have to say the most of us are all passionatly overdoing it!

AND enjoying every bit of it.

Does I count if I dressed like alf bolin and pretended to rob my parents for Halloween.

Just make sure your parents are in on the gig, and your mother doesn't mistakenly hit you over the head with a frying pan.  ;)

I have an oscillating table fan that I set to be facing me last night. I had a dream I was sitting at a window seat on the train because of the constant breeze from my fan.  :D
