how do, glad it is not serious, you all take care of yourselves.. IF you can only make one trip, make sure it is OTC!! it is amazing!

Yes How do. I cannot go the rest of the year because of a few health reasons/ family illnesses etc, and if I could muster up the ability to go, I would think OTC is the most heartwarming (ironic seeing that it is by far the coldest festival!). It really places you in the spirit for a true Holy-day season. The train ride is a must, it is a sing along that culminates with a touching story at the holdup stop (historically at least).

Oh, and you buy a lot of good stuff while you are there for gifts!

the wife and i were planning on going, but it looks like we are not going too be able to.

i gotta have surgery next Wednesday!! it seems i have a bad cmc joint in my thumb and them cortisone shots they have been giving me don't work anymore. i just found out

if i don't have done it soon they will have too fuse the joint, and that don't leave me much of an option. and i havent even told paige yet because in the back of my head i still think we can make it. good thing i havent made reservations.

Silver Dollar City, and Branson aren't going anywhere Avalanche.

In fact, the citizens will be standing by for when you can make it. Unless you plan on giving everyone a painful thumbs up everywhere you go, it's best just to rest yourself, and focus on the surgery.

I am planning on being there Sunday. Gonna try to talk my sister and her teenagers into going with me. Being single and without children at my age means you either do a lot of things alone, or you don't do them at all. And while I have gone to SDC alone a few times it's just not as fun as when I have someone with me to talk excitedly about all the things I love so much about the place. But I plan on being there Sunday even if I do have to go alone again.

Going with family is most definitely a blast! I'm still waiting for the SDCFans meet and greet where we can all go together.

I'm heading there this sunday with the family.This time we get to see sdc without rain. It was fun to be there during the rain but they didn't run the lumberjack shows. I'm excited about getting to see them this time. The forecast for tomorrow is partly cloudy and 72. Sounds good to me.

MAN!!! i just found out that i have some "time" next weekend, so i was going to do a quickie... BUT, luckily I checked the schedule and the city is CLOSED next sunday, the 30th!!

So then i checked on the showboat schedule and they are also shut down for 4 or 5 days,,,,?

?

? I am at a loss.
