We will be going down for the first time this year next week. Very much looking forward to the lights, Christmas Carol and all.

Looks like we're going down today!

Interesting situation: both planned and unplanned. Some 6 months ago, my wife made a follow-up appt with her doc in Springfield for this afternoon. We planned to take the kids out of school at noon, go to her doc, hit the city for the lights, and go back Sat morning for the day.

Then we promptly forgot about it.

Last weekend, I kept insisting that we had something planned this weekend, but neither of us could remember what it was. Then, yesterday, Lori looked at the calendar and said, "Uh, oh!" We both had to arrange time off at the last minute, we had to throw the clothes together late last night after Scouts, and we had to give up on a quiet weekend at home (would have been only the thrid one since April 1!).

Don't get me wrong! I am delighted to be able to go to the City, but the whirlwind nature of the thing has just about taken my breath away!

my dad is planning a trip to OTC this year and he hinted at taking me....whooo! My step mom has NEVER EVER EVER been to SDC and I have never been to OTC. I need top 5 things to do. Then if your feeling up to it the top 5 things that are mediocre and wont be missed if I dont get around to it.......

Leaving Wed. as soon as school lets out. Planning to be at the park Thanksgiving Day, which is not soon enough!!
