I'm not having a very good day and almost of the verge of tears, all I can think is "What I wouldn't give to be a SDC right now."

I have enjoyed reading this thread! It brought back so many memories of visiting SDC as a child! We lived in Berryville, my Daddy worked at The Passion Play, and I loved living there. Now that my family has moved to central Arkansas, we became season passholders to SDC. Our first visit is this weekend! But it has made me smile to read these posts. Thanks for sharing all your favorite things about the city! I can't wait to leave on Wednesday. We'll be in the city on Thurs and Fri. Lots of fun is coming our way.

Had a long day at work today. I never thought I was going to get to go home. I was feeling desperate. Finally got to a stopping point. I ran down the hall at work saying "I'm getting out of here no matter what!" and made the corresponding "whooshing" sound in my head. Cracked myself up!

My best friend didn't have school today, because seniors always get out a few days before everyone else, so I dragged him a long shopping this afternoon after graduation practice. (He said it was better than sitting home alone.) He is also the one I drag to SDC a lot and make him stay for the concert (he hates country music). We went to Target and ended up by the shoes (imagine that...). I bought a pair of cowboy boots, but while I was trying them on, he said, "Don't those look like the ones the girls wear in that GAC show?"
I halfway grinned and said, "...maybe..."
(I also own a pair of tan fishnets...

That is funny! When our son was 3 years old he would say that and then blink his eyes very rapidly. We finally figured out he was doing the "strobe effect" that would appear after the miner ignited the dynamite.

I dropped my sister off at her bf's house and his grandpa was there. He noticed I was drinking from a SDC travel mug, and he said, "Isn't that place just the greatest!" and he's from Montana

Then my sister's bf said, "Don't get her started." lol

My dad has been a hater of SDC for a long time and yesterday he made a referene to the 97 pound copper-headed-rattle-moccasian. I about swalled my teeth, and they aint even false... yet

My best friend is having a baby in December and she already said she wants me to be there for his first trip to SDC
