It just started snowing here in the North side of KC. Ten inches to a foot of snow predicted! Already have today off, & prob'ly wont make it in Friday because we live out in the country. No roads get plowed till the neighborhood farmers do it.
Anyone else hit by this storm?

We are over here but not that bad! Ice and rain and sleet and thunder and junk. No snow to speak of, but ice danger! Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Lots of ice here in Springfield. No snow that I can see. Just freezing rain with thunder. MSU cancelled school today, and of all days, it was today that I couldn't find myself able to sleep in, LOL.

Hasn't started here in Central MO yet, but we didn't have school today.  I doubt we'll have our tomorrow as well.  10"+ predicted for our area.

Here in Little Rock, RAIN RAIN & RAIN! It's 10:00 in the morning and looks like 10:00 PM! We had moslty sleet & freezing rain yesturday, but the roads were managable for me to get to work and back home.

Just started here in stL about 30 min ago, big hamster sized snowflakes mixed with ice pellets.

Mostly ice and freezing rain here in NW Arkansas. Wife and other family braved the weather and commuted to work today. I have a few days off, and am staying put here at the house. I strongly dislike travel in this weather. Best wishes to you all, hope no one looses electricity.

Yea, its wierd to hear thunder with snow/sleet. I heard it this morning @ 4:30 when I got up. We got mostly rain, which Eastern Ok. desperately needs.

Howdo: After seeing the picture of the outhouse, make sure I don't come visit you in winter! (I have scary memories of visiting grandma and grandpa's farm in Illinois in winter, and the outhouse being far enough of a trot away from the main house that it was better to "hold it" or use the under the bed chamber pot if things got really bad! )

well as of 5 PM most of our weather has stopped here in SW-STL. I measured 4" of a sleet-snow mix.  They called work off for tonite. WHEW (Of course it didnt keep me home). The Jeep does real good in this stuff. I was all over today.  I like snow, even sleet is not bad. I sure do feel sorry for all you in the south that got hammered with the ICE. I pray that you all are good. Lots of luck. Please hang in there.
