Albert Pujols is NL MVP and I'm ecstatic!

He definitely deserves the award.  He's clearly the best player in the game today and one of the greatest players ever (no exaggeration).  He gets forgotten because he plays in the midwest and not in LA or NY.  It would've been bad had Ryan Howard won the award instead; Albert trumped him in every meaningful category (HR and RBI are overrated).  Here are a couple of great articles on Pujols if you're interested:

Oh well, the beaker fans can at least be happy that they won't lose this weekend since they have a "bye weekend" this week -- they're going to get killed next weekend in KC by my Tigers

Swoosh, who do you like to win:  Texas Tech or OU?  My pick is Tech.

Clearly I was wrong.  Tech is just overmatched tonight on both sides of the ball.  Norman is a very tough place to play, and Tech is better than this.  I expected it to be a shootout and come down to the last possession.  A lot of people expected 49 points in the first half, but not for 42 of those points to come from one team!  And over 400 yards of offense for OU in the first half?  Unbelievable!

Grrr.... we have to wait anothe week to find out who Mizzou will play in KC on the 6th.
TECH had everything going for them and then they came out and laid an egg -- a huge one to be exact.  That will definitely knock them out of BCS and they just ruined their chance of Big XII South as well.

The interesting thing is a lot of people are trying to figure out who out of Tech, OU, and Texas will be #2 in the BCS and seem to think that will be decided next weekend.  Hello!  One of those 3 has to play Mizzou in KC!  Wouldn't it be interesting if Mizzou did the incredible and won the Big 12 title?  Then there'd be three Big 12 teams in BCS bowl games instead of two.

I have a feeling OU will be tested next weekend at OSU.  I would not be surprised if OSU wins that game.

BCS rules only allow for two teams from one conference in the BCS bowls.

Which is stupid because the ACC, Pac-10 and Big Least shouldn't automatically get a team into the BCS with how weak their conferences are.

Oh in other news, Mizzou got their Big XII North Championship trophy on Thursday last week.

^The unfortunate thing is, by being the best team in Missouri that means we're the second worst in the entire NFL!

They can't even claim to be the best team in Missouri, these days!
