TCU I will give them, but BYU and Oregon St are nothing special.
Sorry but being in a certain conference makes all the difference.
Is it fair? No, but that's the way it is.

^That's why we need a playoff--the BCS is meaningless and therefore a BCS National Championship game is not a national championship at all.

Obama "says" he's going to fix the system -- as if he doesn't have anything BETTER to think about when he's in office  ::)

After Mizzou got screwed out of the BcS last year, I don't have much faith in it... but that is what we have to work with whether we like it or not.

^Someday we'll get a playoff.  It can be done; they do it in DII.

At least most of the bowl games are entertaining.  Texas is in a dogfight with Ohio State right now!

That was a heckuva game!

Tulsa and Ball State are playing a good one right now.

Tulsa is running away with it so bad, it's not very interesting.  I turned over to watch Ark and #7 Tex basketball.  Ark is just about to win it.

I am one who has to give Utah kudos.  It doesn't matter what conference you play in, every one has the perennial good teams and the perennial pushovers.  Utah got some quality wins, and beat Alabama handily.  I think that since Texas had such a hard time with OSU, Utah moves up to 3, maybe even 2 but no lower than 4, in the final standings.

Final-
1  Winner of the national championship game
2  USC
3  Utah
4 Texas
5  Loser of the national championship game

Teams currently ranked 6-10, except for Utah didn't do to well in bowl games so it's anyone's guess how it'll shake out.

"Why do they call them Wild Women?"

I think Texas will be #2 when it all said and done

I watched Texas and Arkansas play.  That was a really great game.  Arkansas is moving back to national prominence again.

If this also bumps Texas lower in the final standing, I consider it a two-fer.  ;D

How abot that Big XII South -- woo hoo!!!
1-3 in Bowl Games this year.

Remind me again how the Big XII North did, oh that's right they SWEPT their games.

"and the South shall rise again" my @$$  ::)

Stoops just got out-coached, period.  Some questionable decisions, especially not trying for field goals in the first half.  That 49 yard try was questionable, too; the one that got blocked.  The kicker hadn't even kicked a 40 yarder the entire year, so it makes sense that he kicked it too low.

At the end of the first half Bradford should've thrown the ball away to the back of the endzone rather than trying to thread it into traffic; that interception was a killer, especially since they were planning to kick a field goal on the next play.

All in all, a sloppy game.  Clearly OU hadn't seen a defense quite as tough as Florida's all season.  Florida hit them hard on that first drive, which set the tone for the entire game.  OU's defense really stepped up, though.  I was impressed with both defenses, actually.

I must say I'm pretty happy that Utah was #2 and got 16 first place votes.  I wonder:  would Utah, USC, or Texas put up a better fight against Florida?  We'll never know.

The BCS final is not out yet.

The Coaches Poll (USA Today) is the one to really go by and it looks to me...

1. Flori-DUH
2. USC (Fight On!)
3. TEXAS (HOOKED 'EM and theirselves)
4. Utah
5. Choke-lahoma
6. Choke-labama
7. TC (gets no respect) U
8. Penn (omg our coach is old) State
9. Oregon (OSwho?)
10. Georgia
11. THE Overrated State University
12. TECH (guns up!)
13. Boise (we play on blue carpet) State
14. VT
15. Missishitty (the only team that can beat the Nat Champs -- who MU beat in 2007)
16. MIZZOU
