Women's tournament time!  Arizona State has to play UConn and Oklahoma has to play Purdue tonight, but I'm betting UConn and OU join Louisville and Stanford in the Final Four in St. Louis.  Can anyone beat UConn?  I, for one, don't think so.

Wooo Hooo.

Just look for the big dork with a digital SLR taking photos of everything.
Probably will be wearing a Mizzou shirt, since that seems to be all I own any more

My wife and I will be moving to Columbia next month since I'm going to grad school there and she's got a job with Central Missouri Community Action.  Going to have to buy some Mizzou apparel. :)  I grew up in Springfield, MO so all of my apparel are old SMS shirts and Cards stuff.  I get the impression that you went to MU, Swoosh.  Do you still live in the Columbia area?

I did my graduate work at Mizzou.  We now live up in Northeast Missouri, about an hour north of Columbia on Hwy 63.

I bought a car up near that way (Moberly) and another in Kirksville while my wife was attending Truman State.

If you have a chance, stop by and see the Chinese acrobats in the Opera House.  It's a pretty good show with some stunts that will take your breath away.  Tell one of the ushers to give Ken a shout and I'll come out and say Hi.  It'll be good to see a fellow Mizzou fan; I work with a lot of Oklahoma and Texas fans, but not many MU fans.

You live in the Moberly area then.  Right now we live in Kirksville.

Holy cow!  The Chiefs are trading Tony Gonzalez to the Falcons for a second round pick in the 2010 draft.  I think they could've done better than that.  I don't like this at all.  Here's the link to the story:

^I'm definitely saddened by this. Tony has been my favorite player forever. I've got a signed Tony Gonzalez jersey hanging above my bed and it is definitely going to be hard to see him go.

But, Pioli's comments and his history in New England lead me to believe that this pick will turn into a pick in 2009. A lot of teams want to trade into the top 5 for QB Mark Sanchez and I believe one of the teams will trade with us to get into the number three spot. I am wanting this to happen because we need more than just one Day One pick.

Sad day for all of us Chiefs fans though.

I thought we'd discussed this before... we both live in the same town - Kirksville.

...and you're right, Kirksville is more like 1 1/2 hours from Columbia.
Moberly is only 1/2 hour.  How slow are you driving?  :P

Well I'm going to do our site's update, so going to that show is pretty much a no-brainer. ;)
The only show that I am planning on NOT going to is Feet of Fire.  Last year I fell asleep during the show as I got bored.  Now I respect their culture and what not, but I went in expecting to see so Feet ON FIRE and I never got to see some FEET ON FIRE -- I was hoping more literal then figuratively. lol :D

I keep waiting for the conspiracy to rear itself in all of this.  They way the Chiefs got Vrabel/Cassel from NE, if the Falcons trade a player or a pick to NE now then my belief in a conspiracy will be warranted.  The Vrabel/Cassel thing still stinks a bit, though, for me.  Belichick never comes out on the bad end of a deal, and on the surface it looks like he got hosed.  There's something we don't know about that deal, I'm sure of it.

Whitlock at the KC Star is drinking jugs of Pioli's Kool-Aid.  He wrote an article about the TG trade saying it proves that Pioli wants to win now.  I don't think so.  There's no way trading your best offensive receiving threat and a true team leader and veteran player will help you win in 2009. ::)

Swoosh

Yes but was Gonzo really a team leader?  I mean I cannot dispute the fact he was a great receiver, but it was no secret that he wanted to be traded very badly -- I wonder how much of that came out in his attitude in the locker room.
