1. Chef "Roadkill", "Gather round folks, taint nuthin' I cant stew, bar-b-q or grill. And I mean NUTHIN'!

Sadly, we must also add the recently-rejected character, "Ada Mae."  The beloved, drooling, crazed-eye character succombed to a rapidly spreading illness known as politicus correctus

Joy

If there was a like button, I would totally click it for your post, Parson!

Ada Mae...gone? I would like to see the inneroffice memo on that one. Was Terry insulting crazy hillbilly women...women in general...hillbillies...or the mentally ill? Maybe all of the above? I bet no TV show could get away with "It's me, it's me, it's Ernest T.!" anymore either! (Ernest T. Bass, Andy Griffith Show)  ;)
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

Ozark Outlaw

Whoa! I know I live under a rock, but this is still news to me. :o

Granted, Ada Mae Wheeler was one of Terry's more, um "eccentric" characters, but she definitely knew how to have a great time, and could put a smile on your face.

Shall we go ahead, and bring out the petition for reinstatement now? ;D

Believe it or not, Miss Ada Mae has her own Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Ada-Mae/105749849459605?v=wall&ref=ts   She broke the news of her illness and pending demise back in March.  (Note, the page is not operated by Terry S. But he is on their "Likes This" list...as am I.)  The person operating the page, has suggested that people call the park and ask for Ada Mae.

I have never had the privilege of meeting Ada Mae (though I have seen her in pictures).  I was hoping to meet her this Summer.  But I guess it was not to be.  Still, my teenage son is looking for a girlfriend and I thought Ada would be a perfect fit. Darn!   ;D
