This is as good a place to post this as any, so here goes!  Hubs and I went to Hollister's Fall Grape Festival this year, and it happened to be our anniversary.  The first display we saw was a couple with a very cool antique car selling (giving away) dried flower arrangements. One of the baskets looked identical to one we bought on our first anniversary many years ago.  We started talking with the couple running it, and here's the story:

For many, many years this couple operated the dried flower business at SDC beginning in the 70's. They ran it until their shop got pushed so far back that they weren't able to generate enough business to continue.  They took their business to craft fairs.  A couple years ago, this man had a stroke and his wife decided to help with rehab by having him fill baskets.  It worked!  He's doing very well!  To reduce the overload they decided to  give their flowers arrangements away!  Such generosity and kind people! As they told their story, we shared that we bought a basket of flowers on our 1st anniversary.  Hubs noticed a photo on their table and said that he remembered them being the couple we bought them from in the 70's. So, we took the basket that looked just like the one we bought years ago. They had their wedding album with them and showed us the photos.  Such a cool afternoon!  Junior, you probably met these people.  I can't remember their names.

That's an amazing story Gilligan. I feel like those people should end up on good morning america or something.

(btw, I made this it's own topic because I feel like it is worth it!)

Thanks!  This all happened on my anniversary this year which made it all the more cool! I loved looking at their wedding pics - very 70's with long flowy dress, sideburns, etc.  The funny thing is their wedding was very similar to my niece's hippie wedding this year with flowers in their hair, long flowy dress, dried flowers... ;D
