This has been an unusuall and kinda awkward year I guess. I have only been to SDC 1 time this whole season so far. Normally by now, I would be working on my 5th or 6th trip.

We have went thru a terrible slowdown at work. For about 6 weeks we was only workin about 20 hours a week. (Now thank the Good Lord above--we are starting to pick up now). We have put about $500 in the Jeep now, and it still wont pass state emissions testings.
My Son (a college grad in auto mechanics and is ASE certified) will be working on the Jeep at his shop next week. (Now PRAY to the Good Lord Above--it will pass inspections next week--without costing a few body parts).

On a good note. We have major plans to go camping this weekend. I even have the camper in the driveway hooked up to the Jeep and ready to go in the morning. Just waiting to see what the weather might do.  (BTW) First camping trip this season.

Trying to gather funds for another trip over 4th July weekend. Maybe camping, maybe Branson. Looks promising right now.

Cant wait to see the city again though. I miss it real bad. I do enjoy these posts though. It certainly takes some of the withdrawal pains away.

How-doFolks

I'm with ya qwed94. The only trip we're making to SDC this year will be in July. I keep telling the wife about it & she promised we will be getting passes next year. SDC is my get away from racing. Even though we just got back from vacationing in Colorado, i am still looking forward to going to SDC more. :)

New computer software at work. Giant training process and implementation. Been to SDC 1 time this year when I normally would be about at trip three or four. I have it on good authority that SDC is still there and is fully operational. They are entertaining others about now, but say they will be ready for me and my family when we are able to make it back up. Good news!

Well just as the rest of this year has been. We planned on camping this weekend up near our Sons house. (Not that I didnt want to camp, but it was my excuse for spending the weekend with my boy). Anyway he called us early this morning to tell us that the CG was flooded and closed. (Actually that was OK because I woke up with a blasting migraine and have essentially been bed ridden most of the day so far).  I did finally get up about 30 min. ago. Took the camper back to Dads. Getting ready to go back to bed (after yet another dose of Advil).  Our Son wants us to come out tonight to go eat. (We have to meet him at his place to drop off the Jeep so he can fix/inspect it next week).  ARGHHH!!! This has been about the worst year so far.  Maybe the 2nd half of the year will be great.  It should be. Im usually fairly optemestic.  I still am. It will be a good 2nd half.
