I love catching shows at the Ryman when I can, much like I like to go to Cain's Ballroom. Authentic awesomeness.

No, not the Ryman in '82, but I did stand on the little circle of Ryman stage that was in the Opryland site.

And it was with my high school band - part of a national high school competition - as a percussionist.  Later that evening we got to see Grandpa Jones and Porter Wagner perform in the Opry show.

Didn't get over there, but we did go to downtown Nashville and the Hermitage.  Plus - get this - I got to use the working restroom on a moving bus!
