Before last week, I had only been to SDC one time, and that was over 15 years ago.  Had a great time, was able to ride Time Traveler twice.  Fantastic ride.
Quick question.  What is the huge structure that is kinda near the flooded mine, over the rr tracks?  It is several stories high.  What was it used for?

It is the tower/queue for the defunct Wilderness Waterboggan ride - a ride in which you climbed to the top to load in a boat and slid down a winding waterslide to the bottom.

Cool, thanks for letting me know.  I was able to find some footage of it on youtube.  Looks like it was a fun ride, although maybe one that would be better suited for a water park.

Okiebenz

No it was perfect back in the day.  I do not recall getting any more wet that what you would on the river ride or log ride.

Once it switched from the foam boats to rubber rafts, there was soaking.

There was an inappropriate amount of wetness with the new rafts.   ;D
