HFEC sent me a survey asking about my opinion on various guided tour concepts for the Branson area. Looking at city vs. lake vs. various historical areas with some hiking. Tours would be 2 hours and you would ride around in jeeps.

Seems like a lackluster concept to me. Branson is always clogged with traffic, so I'm not sure how a city tour would work. Even the side routes around the lake are often busy. Branson just isn't that interesting to warrant a tour.

Seems like such a minor attraction to add to HFEC's Branson line up anyway. Here they are still sitting on a massive parcel of prime real estate right off the strip and they are instead looking at jeep tours. Build a resort already.

The company bought PINK JEEPS and are expanding. They have one in Pigeon Forge already

Ah, I forgot they bought that a few years ago. I guess in some sense it makes sense to expand while Jeep culture is so hot right now. I think they need to partner with Dogwood Canyon or something else though, because this is still a lame area to cruise.

I would really like to take those tours.  I realize that most people go to Branson just to take part in the glitz, the noise, and the roller coasters, but my interests diverge into the historical and the natural.  I suspect these tours will never be a huge money-maker, but, for a modest investment, they can expand the options.  Quite a few of the visitors are older folks, and they would more likely enjoy these than yet another a Mega-Whirly-SuperSpin-Twister ride.

Probably trying to capture the Duck market. Personally, Branson has nothing I would pay for a tour for but the Ducks packed them in. Now, I used Pink Jeeps years ago in Sedona before Herschend bought them and enjoyed it. But I could have rented a UTV and done the same thing.

depends on how they market it..

How and Where?

As long as they dont try to tie in with the new Shepherd Of The Hill organization, I would consider..

Would rather see Ducks brought back in somehow, new machines, redesigned, whatever...
