Yup...they're still settling in.  Some are coming along quicker than others.  Albert's AVG is under 300 right now (barely); new territory for him.  Thank God our pitching is ahead of our hitting.  If they're not clicking by the third week in May, then I'll start to worry abit.  But for now...let them work it out.

I'm just glad I'm not a Pirates fan right now. Wow!  :o

I'd rather lose a 20 inning game 2-1, than lose a 9 inning game 20-0.

Cardinals are rolling along nicely right now.  Go Cards! :)

I didn't feel the slightest twinge at cheering for the Braves to extend their streak to 9.  ;D

The Red Sox are in trouble. Seven games back doesn't seem like too much with 135 to go. It wouldn't be if they played in the NL Central, but they're in the AL East along with arguably the two best teams in baseball (Rays and Yankees). Here's a woeful stat: The Red Sox have allowed 38 stolen bases this year, and caught only two(!) would-be base stealers! :o

It's still relatively early in the season, but the Cards entered an important series against the Reds today, and got a much needed win.  Lately, their offense has all but abandoned them.  Last ten games...3-7.  Not good.  But, this slump will be over soon, I hope.  Now is as good a time as any.

Yes, this was an important win, because getting swept at home by the last-place Astros was absolutely inexcusable.
