I was wondering if anyone had any info on an old bookstore that used to be on 76 west of the lookout tower.  I believe the name was old shepherd bookstore.  I have tried to locate it for the past few years but have had no luck even finding remains.   The only conclusion I could come to was maybe the 465 construction took out the old bookstore.

I would suggest looking at a listing under "Old time attractions".  It seems like someone has said it was bulldozed a few years ago.

That bookstore was there for years, and I was sorry to see it go. It had a wonderful selection of regional books about the Ozarks.
