hello all, i have always wondered what sdc does with the picture they take of you just before the tour starts. i would like too see some old photo's when i was a kid. has anyone else wondered that? i know they would use the photo if for some reason you would get lost in the cave they would have a resent picture of you.

Best I can remember, after the tour ends you have a chance to purchase a photo. When your tour cycles through the extras are tossed in the trash. From time to time, they probably save a photo or two to put in archives, but it's only a guess. I, too, would love to see some of those old group photos from decades past...if  you have some, please post.

junior, lol i wish i did, but its one of those things that you never think about as a kid. now im in my forties i wish i hung onto alot of them things as a child. i have been doing alot of reading on here and corect me if im wrong but i think what i have read is you were one of the actors on the rube dugan diving bell? anyway that was my favorite ride (so too speak) back in the day. i really thought that we went under and out into lake silver. lol i envy you, im sure that job was fun. and im sure you were there during one of many of my visits, i remember that i got lucky one time and sat up front and was one of the kids who got too operate what i think was a pump? i remember turning that handle as hard as i could because i thought for sure we were going to sink because of the water leak. wow its a pleasure too chat with you sir. thanks

I have 3 cave photos, ranging from the early-late 70's when I get a chance I'll throw one on here.

Yes, the diving bell was one of the attractions I worked at. It was my primary location on park 1980-1984. A few other jobs included food service worker at Vineyard, Lumbercamp, Jack & Mary's, Mine, Mill, Sorghum Shack, Strawberry and Cream, Fanny's Funnel Cakes. Later in attractions at Jim Owens' Float Trip, One Mule Swing, Flooded Mine, Fire in the Hole, Tom Sawyer's Landing, Petting Zoo, Grandfather's Mansion, and Treehouse. Did street activities including the end of the day "round dance" on Main Street, and the Eaton Doolittle Political Rally, Parade and Gunfight. Fun times, indeed! (1978-1984)
