Can someone tell me what the typical cost at the specialty shops are especially at the Apple butter shop and how much breakfast cost at Molly's Mills Resturant. It going to be my very first time to Branson City and Silver Dollar city will be there from April 13-16 and from what i see on website and youtube I am going to fall in love with the area. Any help on the cost would be great.

Thanks
JH

You can bring your own snacks and drinks into SDC if cost is an issue for you.

Welcome!

You will fal in love witht eh area, so just expect that part  ;D

IIRC, a jar of apple butter is about $5, not that much more than you would pay at the gorcery store but a whole lot much more better!  Each of the items in those stores will be more than discount retailers would sell them--except for some special bargains, of course, like last year's famous $40 leather jackets at the Leathergoods store!--but they match or beat the specialty houses and have every bit as much quality.

I disremember how much breakfast is at Mollies--$10 - $11????--but it's not more than a similar buffet at most restaurants in town.  The food is very good, and it IS all you can eat.  (Don't forget to tip the waitresses for service!)

Food prices are a perennial complaint, but everything is going up everywhere, and SDC really isn't out of line with vacation venues, and the food is usually very good.  But, as buscuitcreek pointed out, you can bring yer own.  Steel yourself to wlak past all those marvelous smells near every eatery, though  :D :D :D

The foot long corn dog is 4.99! The turkey leg is I want to say 7.99. The family feude is about the same. Sammiches and a side 6.99 ish. I found it is about the same price for my family (2 adults and a child) to eat a buffet. It will run us about the same at a buffet as concession but with the buffet you get more for the $$. We also have been known to picnic lunch. Just depending on how rich we feel that day. In the $$ we have saved by picnicing we were able to get an extra nights stay. Homestay is very reasonable and FANTATIC!!! I say it is a good trade off.
The smell of asphalt and butane says home!

It seems to me that I remember some food prices listed on the SDC website.  But...maybe it was in a pathfinder.  I remember reading some prices for Polly's fried chicken.  Food vendors and restaurants will run about the same as most theme parks, but the choices are SO MUCH GREATER at SDC.  Yum!!   ;D  Drinks are pricey, so you might want to put a couple of water bottles in your bag.  You'll have a great time!

breakfast is the same as you can get about anyhwere in Branson, we usually eat breakfast at the motel, to save that odd expense..;

Most of the motels have breakfast, by the way, JH, where are you staying? You do know about our SDC fan discount at Homestay INN? we get rooms any day or days of the years for 40.00! This my 3rd year staying there, and many other memebers have staryed there in the past, we all love the place and the management crew.. Motel os on the west side of town, and you can leave the motel and be parked at SDC in about 10 minutes.. Call Paige @ 417-336-2666

You asked about the specialty shops,, keep in mind that most of the shops will be closed during your april trip so dont be surprised or dissappointed.

You will have a blast, dont be afraid to ask questions or advice, WE are always rager to lead somebody wrong!!!...  OR  I mean help somebody out!!!.  LOL.
