It's certain that HFEC will not escape unscathed from the current court proceedings, but hopefully, most of the blame will be placed on the company that operated the barge.

That is horrible to watch.  They said the driver of the duck was anchoring in the busy channel, I can understand if you were that man and you thought the boat was on fire you would kill it where it was.  I don't think I would have tried to drive it further if it were burning.
Unfortunately he was in a bad location when this happened.  I don't find negligence in his actions,  the other boat did not attempt to maneuver around the duck at all.  And the captain was texting........
Makes you sick to think about those passengers.

wow how did I never hear about this! That is really sad so how many people died? was it all over the news or did I just completely miss this somehow.

Horrific to watch...It really is a miracle that only 2 people died...so sorry for those families who lost a loved one but thankful that more didn't..
