I think it was destiny, cuz I didn't know about the Carrie Nation part of the saloon show at the time. And since the picking was alphabetical, I was one of the last to choose my person, so there were only 2 or 3 people left on the list.

Carrie Nation and I have the same birthday. I think they oughta bring that show back,

Does anyone know where I can get the Wild Women song? All I'm finding is sheet music, which is fine and dandy, but I really need the audio.

Found out last night that the pianist at my parents church played the piano as Miss Ophelia Bumps (:o) back in the Carrie Nation days.
"Red Flanders, you come back in here and put on your pants!" "Well Sadie, I ain't got no pants no more. The dang Baldknobbers stole 'em!"

Went to the saloon show on Sunday 6/3. Some minor changes since last year -- a new Bart, a new drummer "Rick O'Shea", new saloon girls other than Miss Tillie, a new scene about Miss Roots' pay for producing the show featuring Miss Tillie and her brand of arithmetic, no more Miss Roots "sister" from the audience -- a guy is brought on stage to be sung to as a guy.  The show has been tightened up somewhat and doesn't last as long as it has in the past. I don't think the cast is ad libbing very much now.
