I rode the "old" Star Tours back in '96 at Orlando. Different theme, but...SDC's old Diving Bell 100 percent! Same technology completely, sans someone who stayed in the capsule with the passengers to provide that extra "live" touch.

One of the few good memories I have from my first visit ever to Disneyland back when I was 4 was riding Star Tours and falling asleep on it (I was exhausted; it was so hot, the drinking fountains weren't working; we waited 2 hours to get lunch; every ride, of the few we did, had a 2+ hour wait; and I ended up with heat stroke). But I remember liking what I saw before falling asleep, LOL.

I was sad that when I was at WDW last year in January, Star Tours had already been closed for refurbishment. I hadn't had a chance to ride the old version in over a decade.

But this year, my friend and I went back to WDW, and we got to ride the new version... OMG. I loved it SO much. The randomness of it led to us riding the ride *8* times that day, most of those times seeing us going out the exit and straight back to the entrance. We managed to see all the different possible things except Naboo. That's why we rode it so much; I wanted to see Naboo, 'cause I LOVE the underwater Gungan city (one of the few things I like from TPM; pretty much everything that I liked in the prequels are design-based [locations; costumes; etc]).

Chittlins: WOW. I had seen the blueprints from that Avatar ride, but hadn't seen those pics of what kind of ride it'd be. WOW.
