Junior

What you gonna do for Halloween this year? Gonna play dress up? I've still got a complete "Junior Dugan" costume hidden away in a storage closet at home. (Black Greek fisherman's cap, Big Smith overalls, a red bandanna for the back pocket of the overalls, and a green and white striped shirt!) Too bad I cannot fit into it anymore! HA!  :o   Anyone gonna dress as a character from SDC? Any Doc Harris', cave guides, Hatfields, McCoys, candymakers, blacksmiths out there? Tiff, do you still have that saloon girl costume tucked away somewhere? So, what you gonna do...hey, Halloween is just around the corner!

Junior, do you have a grandkid big enough to wear that costume yet?

Funny you should mention the saloon outfit, because I'm trying to get one of my friends and my sister to let me put together different colored saloon girl outfits that look the same and we'll be the Wild Women, and I'm trying to get my "bf" to dress as either a bartender or looking something like Bart. I'm still working on convincing my friend and "bf" because my friend doesn't understand the significance of the matching saloon girls, but my sister loves the idea, and my "bf" doesn't wanna dress up at all.

My best friend (the pregnant one), her mom thought it would be funny to make her into a pumpkin and she took offense to it... So I told her she should be an 8-ball (painting her belly black and putting and 8 in the middle of it). Or painting her belly black and since her mom is an AMAZING artist, painting a baby skeleton on it so Carter is kinda the one dressed up. (Carter is the baby's name, btw.)

I saw on pintrest this picture of a preggers lady with a white shirt on and blood on her belly. Baby doll hand and foot glued to shirt to make it look like baby punched out.

Well, I do have a grandson big enough to wear the Junior Dugan costume. Problem is, even though I took him to SDC and showed him some of the places I used to work, he really does not understand what the diving bell was, other than a submarine ride of some kind, and so, he probably would not be interested in dressing up as Junior. Besides, he is now at the age where trick or treat does not mean so much either. He is starting to pay attention to activities at high school and has noticed girls already. Funny thing is, back in my day...at the park...we had groupies! The girls paid attention to the costumes and the guys in them back then! ;) I will NOT go into detail about those (mis)adventures here. Ha!

I'll mention that to her. She'll probably love it!

Its kinda odd and gory and not for everyone. But I thought it was neat!  ;D

Kelsey has always liked odd and gory, so I'll mention it!

How-doFolks

We usually help a friend of mine with his haunted trail at his house, but this year he is running a haunted house in downtown KC. So we may just go walk thru his trail, or pass out candy here. The bad thing is, we live in the country & they use a old school bus & bring all the kids by at 1 time. Or maybe the wife & i will just have a campfire by ourselves.... :)

The Boo Crew (Lions Club) puts on a great Haunted Barn experience.  It used to be the Haunted Fire House, but when the old firehouse sold, they had to move it to the grain elevator.  It's a first class haunted experience. I'll actually have a few trick or treaters this year - looking forward to that!

How-Do - that's one of our favorite things to do, also!  There's nothing like a warm campfire and good company... ;D

My wife and I enjoyed the "trick or treating" tonight from 5:30-7:30pm. Saw one gal dressed as a SDC saloon girl...there was no doubt...and had to smile and think of our beloved Tiff here at SDCfans! By 7pm, though, the big kids (13 and over) and the repeat trick or treaters started to outnumber the kids coming around for the first time, so we blew out the jack o lantern, turned off the lights, went inside, and locked the door. Happy Halloween everyone! ;D

My "mega church" I attend held Trunk of Treats tonight and had 1500 people attend.  That's over a third of the population of the town.  ,
