It looks like Dollywood has been honored within the industry by being selected as a top ten candidate in a number of categories. Thunderhead was voted the #4 woodie in the world, Wild Eagle was chosen as Best New Ride, and Dollywood itself was voted as #3 in Best Park. Now, the Golden Tickets are kind of frowned upon in enthusiast circles, and I definitely think the rankings are heavily influenced by a large number of people who just vote on whims and fancies rather than on actual experiences, but at least we can be happy that DW and HFEC has received this huge nod. Hopefully next year they'll start paying attention to SDC more as well. I honestly think DW got most of these votes simply because they hosted the awards and the attendees got to actually experience the park, whereas few have probably been to SDC.
