The scam at Disney would not work at SDC because SDC grants you equal access, not right away boarding. You still have to wait the entire wait time at SDC, they give you a time to come back. Looks like Disney could learn something from our 53 year old "Hole in the ground"... You see what I did there?

When did they start that?!?! When I worked there (granted, that was a while ago), it wasn't like that.

As for that "hole in the ground," it's a heck of a lot older than 53 years!!!

Disney's problem is that once you apply for a pass, you don't have to apply again. So in the case that was on TV, one of the persons had been in a car accident and got a disabled pass then, but had since recovered. Disney asks for these types of problems, if you ask me. They already have their fast pass system. They could easily make people just get fast passes to rude the rides to where they have to come back, like you said, instead of letting them go straight to the front (basically) without having to wait. Stupid!

I know this is an old thread, but we went March 17.  We were there early and was going to wait in line for the chain to drop, at the top of the steep hill.  One of the citizens was manning the chain.  He asked if we were going to ride the Outlaw run, we said yes, and he let us in.  He told us since there was a big line the day before, they were letting people in early just for that ride.  We still had to wait in line, but we got lined up early.

It's a conspiracy! ;D

Haha, just teasing. It is interesting though, and I could see how it could be viewed as unfair if folks at the other ropes we're not allowed in yet. I suppose it is all about finding which attendant is feeling generous that day.
