Did anyone see his Only In America show last night? He was in Branson checking out some of the shows, it was pretty good. He also visited Yakov Smirnoff. It was very touching. Call me slow, but, i did not know Yakov painted that big heart mural for ground zero, after 9-11. I have tried to find the episode on YouTube & this is all i could find. He is with the Baldknobbers.

It is a good piece. It was a re-run last night. Glad I caught most of it. Yakoff is a good artist, too.

I want to say he was a stand up comedian on a cruise ship in the Black Sea. That was during the Gorbachev Era, I think. I believe he came over when Reagan was in the White House. Became a citizen in a ceremony at the Statue of Liberty in 1986. He'd already been in a few movies like "Moscow on the Hudson" by that time, I think. My memory may be failing me on some of this. He is now at retirement. I want to say he only will perform occasionally in Branson from now on, unless he has changed his mind.

It might be about time for Larry the Cable Guy to start searching for his own Branson Theater. His 15 minutes have been over for a few years now and he might need a steady income.

I'd heard Larry the Cable Guy was filling up STADIUMS for shows in recent years. Don't think he needs any more money. All new income would be nothing more but icing on the cake for him. I think it's a bit premature to see him open a Branson show. I really wouldn't think he'd ever need to.

Back in December, his promoter scheduled Larry to appear for a second time at our coliseum that seats 5000 for a show in May. The promoter canceled the show because he didn't feel that the tickets were selling fast enough. Please! Schedule a show over the Holidays  for six months later and expected to sell out in the first month, give me a brake.

Some of his bits are brilliant. Most of them aren't funny, and that 'get r done' stuff got old a long time ago.  always felt he was at his best when he was with Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall.

Yes. Once the Blue Collar Comedy bus got a flat tire, Larry's bulb began to dim. He's pushing some heartburn pill on commercials now. I tried watching his show on Discovery, but it is just awful.

To each his own. I find him off color and crude, but funny. I watch the Made in America show on TV from time to time. The Blue Collar Bunch are all talented individuals in their own, unique way, I wish them well. Foxworthy is the best selling comic in history, I think. His recordings have sold more comedy recordings than anyone else. I still see his redneck stuff around, all these years later.

We don't need him in branson, as long as we have Terry Sanders, Jamie Hagee, Harley Worthit, Dougherty, and our other "local" comedians...
