Drove through Eureka Springs this weekend and stopped at Gingerbread House Antiques. Found an old "Hannah's Ice Cream Parlor" sign hanging in the shop, and a very large "Gold Medal Flour" sign painted by one of the early SDC artists that had obviously hanged at one time in Sullivan's Mill. Didn't see the price on the ice cream sign, but the Gold Medal Flour piece, in rough, weathered condition, was going for $400! Oh, if I had a lot of money...

Wow! I'd like that Hannah's Ice Cream to hang in my newly painted garage, but...y
Yikes!  That's a chunk of change!

That's pretty neat, but you should have taken a picture of them Junior! A picture is at least free while you save up some cash to buy them for me. ;)

Yeah, didn't have the camera with me at the time. The ice cream sign was in really good shape. It looked like it might have hung under the porch and was protected from the weather. The flour sign probably hung on the outside door or wall of the mill, it was in not too great shape. However, the price tag on the flour sign did say it was from SDC and was painted by a noted painter back in the day, and gave a name (which I've forgotten.) of the artist. Again, I wish I'd had the money...I'd say if anyone is interested in the signs, you might call the shop and get more info or stop by and see them.
