Glad to see Outlaw Run win!  Think they should have done better in some of the other categories though.

This should remind us that SDC is a contender with more than just the local amusement parks.

Saw the story about Outlaw Run and SDC being a top ten park on KYTV Ch. 3 Springfield this weekend. CONGRATULATIONS!

I am very excited for our beloved park. I feel these awards and nominations are  very well deserved.
I feel bad that I have never had the pleasure of visiting Dollywood yet. So Im speaking blind here. I have a hard time understanding "though" how they can have a better Christmas, but judging by the votes. I guess they do.

I dont remember what park(s) beat SDC on cleanliness, but geez, they must be spotless. We can all help SDC get the cleanliness award next year. Lets jump in and clean up after ourself. (Of course I thought we did that anyway) judging by how clean SDC is.

I cant believe that any park is friendlier than SDC. I think I would argue that intensly. Especially a park in Indiana. In general I havent met a lot of "overly friendly" people in Indiana. (Not to say that all are less friendly-just saying finding 3000 + people that friendly in Indiana-THAT ALL).  Dollywood-maybe. Southern hospitality is hard to duplicate usually.
I still have my doubts though. SDC citizens are friendly beyond belief.

OH WELL--congrats to SDC, Herschends, citizens, and the entire SDC community.

I live about 20 mins from Holiday World.  I'm not trying to belittle my local park, but I don't know how in the world they beat SDC for friendliest park.  We have season passes to HW and go at least once a week during the summer.  Don't get me wrong, Holiday World employees are nice, but they aren't NICE like the SDC citizens.  They will help you with questions and are very polite, but I've never observed them being engaging with the guests or going out of their way to help.  I've seen citizens at SDC stop people "on the street" and say "where y'all from?" but I've never seen that happen at holiday world.  I was also amazed that Knoebels came in 3rd for Best Park.  I've been there several times while I was growing up and a young adult.  It's a great park with an incredible "Good Old Days" atmosphere, but better than Disney?, Dollyworld?, SDC? Seems a little hard to believe.  Overall I was glad to see SDC give the "big boys" a run for their money, and glad to see OR getting the recognition it deserves!
