We plan to go...if daughter starts feeling better.  If not this afternoon, perhaps tomorrow.

I heard about the bad weather on the morning news. I hope they're open for you tomorrow, History Buff!

Another weekend ruined.  Guess I won't be going this weekend either...
We got ice up here today though my school went the full day (a bunch of the smaller ones got out though)

Really, REALLY cold yesterday.  I was glad to have an insulated Buzzsaw Falls cup (one found a few years ago when someone left it sitting in the City), as the hot chocolate quickly turned into a fudgesicle in a regular cup.  I was disappointed when, both on Friday and Saturday, there were no candy canes to stick into the chocolatey goodness.  Santa is apparently hoarding the canes!

The bigger issue was that we had a sick daughter on Friday morning, but she was feeling better so we went to Branson in the afternoon (since school was called off for both of us).  Then, Sunday morning, the boy started throwing up, giving us the perfect bookend to the weekend.

We were amazed by how much snow SDC brought in for this year's festivities.  By the time we returned to Joplin, we noticed only small patches of snow, when Springfield and Branson still had snow on the side streets, on rooftops, and in the trees.  The drive to and from was grand.

My wife's school about halfway to CoMo was released early Friday, but we stayed in for the long haul and finished out our day.

What schools do you work at?  California (where I work) was in session all day, but Russelville, and a lot of the other small schools let out early
