Of course lots of politicians and the Prez himself seem OK with MJ, this study seems to say otherwise. The study is new, but if you have been in a position to observe this stuff over the course of many years, you probably are saying--yeah I knew that.

No, they didn't. And the researchers didn't even claim such... the headlines were entirely driven by the media, not the study (of a tiny sample size).

I don't think we need research to say that pot has effects on the brain and body. If you have ever smoked it(or met or seen people that do) and you think that it isn't hurting you in some way, then I think you better lay off of it because you are smokin' too much

This isn't spam, nor does it go against the rules of the site, but... it really isn't the type of topic we do around here. Unlike 1Branson, which is huge and much more public, SDCFans is smaller and more tight-nit, so talking about politically charged subjects feels awkward. I'm going to go ahead and lock this since people have been anxious about the site turning into a mini 1Branson. No offense to you Witention, I think we've just collectively decided to be more neutral and SDC-focused.

Witention also started a few other threads at the same time as this one.  I thought it was spam at first, as well, but s/he did start a thread that was more focused on SDC and Branson, so I didn't lock anything.
