Did they pull the BLOG?  I can no longer find the link anywhere on the site for it anymore.  I hope Conductor Sam is still with them.  I had heard he was out for the birth of his child but it is hard to believe that since the park is opening in 2 weeks there is no BLOGing going on.  I had the blog site saved in my fav section so here it is.  http://www.silverdollarcity.blogspot.com/  The link still works but I sill have not found it on the main site.

I assume it will start up again, but maybe it just wasn't as big of a success as they thought it would be, or maybe Conductor Sam just doesn't feel like doing it anymore.

Conductor Sam

Unfortunately, The Inside Track, as you and I knew it, will no longer exist. For personal reasons, I will not be returning to Silver Dollar City as an employee this year. Hopefully, the blog will be recreated in some form or another soon.

Thank you to everyone who made The Inside Track such a success. I will truly miss it.

Aw, well, I'm sure they'll figure out something. But, yeah, I'll definitely miss your awesome blog entries; you did a great job!

Conductor Sam

Again, thank you.

I appreciated all your positive comments as well.

Well, I'm glad that there was a place for people to learn more about the park. There were definitely some awesome things on the blog. I especially loved the Rube Dugan entry; it was cool seeing pics of the park that I'd never seen before.

Welcome to the board, by the way! Glad to see you here.

I am sad to here you are not going to be back this year Sam.  I hope you and your new one all the best in the future.

They have got to have someone that loved the park like Sam did to do the Blog.  I loved seeing what was going on there.  Now that we have the Old Guy on here he is helping us with the History of the park.

Hmmm, well if I can ever get around to finishing the new features for SDCF4, we may have something as good or better than the old SDC Blog. I was thinking of building some sort of group blog where special users could post stories and tid-bits in article form...

Once I get the new site up and running (which will hopefully go down tonight) I'll probably get cracking on it.

Coaster

^Oh that would be sweet!!!

On the other hand it sad to hear that you won't be back Sam. I wish you the best with your future endeavors, and I hope they continue The Inside Track blog with someone that makes it as interesting and fun to read as you did.

History Buff

The new blog is up and running - http://www.silverdollarcityblog.com/ - but it's not the same without Sam.  I feel like I don't belong there since it's now a "Mom's Blog", but the jury's still out.

The new blog is lame, who the heck thought it should be marketed to only mom. I know she usually decides the trips, but they use to have a good thing going.

Look how many people it took to take Sam's place!

Yeah, I was hesitant to register, since I'm not a mom (and don't ever plan to be), but if this is all they're offering blog-wise now, I figured "what the hey?"

THe new Blog site is bad.   I am glad they have not pulled the old one because there is good info on there.  We need to make sure we get a copy of all that info on theis site before it is pulled.
